Great roast dinners. Very nice friendly staff and a fantastic building too. Like this place. Recommend.

Third time to the Abbeville. Easy booking, friendly staff, good sized portions and tasted great on all starters and mains. No complaints.

I was looking forward to going out for dinner. Unfortunately, they have basically opened up the front of the restaurant so we were basically sat outside where it was raining and freezing. I had my coat on for the meal but sat there shivering. They also almost never came and served those tables so we had to wait ages for a menu or knife and fork etc. We asked to move further inside the restaurant but even though the tables were empty they wouldn’t move us as we had already sat down. I understand they would have had the clean our table again but I did book in advance so would have expected a reasonable table. Overall just really disappointing as I had been looking forward to being able to go to the pub and have dinner for 3 months. Wouldn’t come again.

The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful as always. Delighted that it's reopened.

First visit since lock down. Atmosphere was good, food was great, and lovely to see the staff who did a fantastic job of dealing with the new norm.. 😷🥳

On our first visit the food was disappointing despite the service being good, we were offered a voucher by The Abbeville (very kind) given we just moved to the area and this time the food was really lovely.

Overall very good. Although I ordered the chef special of chicken pie and the kale was full of just cooked garlic chunks. Not just a few, but lots! It was all I could taste. I asked for a side order of just kale and got the same, more garlic. I like garlic just not enough to over power the food. Finally got kale without the garlic on the third attempt

Excellent neighbourhood pub providing very good food, a very welcoming and friendly service. As it is a popular place, it can get noisy and service can slow down when it is in full swing.

Great pub and atmosphere with amazing food. The roast were delicious and quite possibly the best Yorkshire pudding we’ve ever had. Definitely recommend.
