Excellent Sunday lunch, we had beef, lamb and pork. Beef was medium rare which was superb. The land lady let us eat early. Super experience. Recommended for rugby or football people going to Ashton gate

I think I must have read the website wrongly as I was expecting to be offered either steak or vegetarian and we clearly had a lunch-time menu. However, it was very nice, particularly the salad and the service was good.

Had a very pleasant evening at The Ashville. The food was excellent. Would have given 6 but service was a little slow - it was a quiet night in January so not many staff. Definitely will return.

We tried the Ashville today for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed. The service was very good, and the roast dinner was amazing! Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

A good Sunday roast if a little light on veggies. The sticky toffee pudding would have been really good had there have been more sauce.

Friendly and efficient service, good portion sizes and high quality meals. A very good 'gastropub'. My only complaint is the menu could be a little more exciting.

Fab food, warm welcome and good service. The range of food was extensive and very interesting. Prices were reasonable. Lucky people who live near by. Not everyone is fortunate to have a gastro pub on their doorstep.

We went on a Friday night and wondered how noisy this place would be, it was fine in the main part as there was a noisy group in the other section. The food was really good, we were not told was what not available so I couldn't have my original starter but the alternative soup was really nice as was the chicken burger. Others had the mussels, the Camembert, and the fish and chips which were all really nice. We will be recommending to friends and will be back again soon.

Most enjoyable meal and attentive staff. To improve a little somewhere to hang cats would be good and a wider selection of wine would be appreciated by myself, however, none of this detracts from my recommendation as a good restaurant.

We went for Sunday lunch which we and our friends have enjoyed on several occasions; what makes this a good option for us is the excellent vegetarian roast dinner which is a rare find. Sadly I am all too used to being given the 'reheated lasagne' whilst heaped bowls of vegetables are given the meat eaters roasts! Incidentally, my meat eating friends rate it too.

Very good starter, the duck on my main course and the steak on my partners main were both slightly overdone but still tasty. The person we assumed was the owner seemed really nice and attentive.
