Purpose built in 1939, this iconic former post office has been respectfully refurbished and was opened as a pub in June 2017. With inspiration taken from Manchester's Northern Quarter and Chorlton, local owner, Mark Rackham, has created a high quality yet traditional feeling pub featuring many of the original post office features across a main bar area, an outside seating area and a snug (perfect for private dining or private parties up to 20 people). Head Chef Steven Crawley (ex Head Chef from Albert's Shed) cooks up a menu of home-made pub classics using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and specialising in pies. We pride ourselves on serving only the best quality cask ales (we are featured in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide), mostly local, as well as craft beers, world lagers, scrumpy and cider, premium gins, fine wines and Prosecco cocktails. The tempo is casual dining with a friendly service style, no stiffness, no pretentiousness. We are family friendly and dog friendly. We look forward to serving you soon. Cheers.
