As always a very pleasent evening was had by both myself and my wife. The food was reasonably priced and cooked to perfection. The service was great as always.
Food good, service great, beer excellent. A lovely night out with friends. It's just a shame that the car park is so small but that's a small price to pay. Thank you
Great place with Lovely food and friendly staff, definitely can’t wait to come back in again very soon. Loving the new decor inside and out too 😬
Love the friendly staff. Food brilliant value. We all had just what we wanted. A good place to meet family or friends. Good time had by all. Easy to find and parking close
A great night out with friends. Food was great. As a group we go fairly regularly to the Bowling Green and we have never had a bad meal. On member of the party did say the only way the menu could have been improved was if there was a meat curry option.
The service was great , staff were lovely . We enjoyed our food. Kids enjoyed there’s too. We would defently go again . Great evening thanks
lunchtime food is not as good as evening, maybe its a different chef? but definitely not the same standard, which is usually very good. Sunday roasts are excellent, evening meals are always good, I don't understand why a weekday lunch is so substandard
We all had fab meals and the waitress we had was lovely would deffo recommend. There was seven of us and we were all very happy.
Meal was very good and a nice atmosphere warm and welcoming
Had Sunday lunch here, service was quick and great, food was hot and ok, but not great. I’ve had lots of meal here in the past and they have always been really good, but the roast was lacking. The beef was overdone and I had one slice, the York I’ve was nice, veg was ok, although the cauliflower cheese was a bit watery, although we had a massive bowl of it. For £11.00 I was expecting more than 1 slice of beef!
We meet here with friends often as it’s half way. Today was a complete shambles, usual lady not there don’t know what went wrong. One lady got fed up and walked out before her meal. Such a shame usually very good.
As always a very pleasant experience with very good service and well cooked food. It is always reasonable value for money and by far the best place to go in Southam.
Food excellent as always, service was a bit lapse, which is unusual! the waitresses were not paying attention to the customers............... ..... ... .... ...
Lovely meal but the ervice was a bit slow. We were going to have coffee for after the meal but no one came so we left it.
Another excellent meal, lovely atmosphere couldn’t fault the staff even though they were very busy. Will be visiting again when we are in the area again
Great food , excellent service. The bowling green is the number one restaurant in Southam.
Amazing food and service as always. Best restaurant in Southam
Service with a smile. The Bowling Green always serves great food and the ham hock terrine with home made piccalilli is my absolute favourite starter.
We all enjoyed our meals. The service was good and the atmosphere was friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend it and will be going again.
Lovely place!!! Very friendly service. Food was delicious! Great portion sizes, hot food and variety of choice on the menu with good prices. Highly recommend.
Food is always very good, its honest home cooked, fodder, no frills, decent sized portions. Sunday roast are awesome, and its very well priced, service is also on point.
Good value and well cooked food. Great service. A very nice evening. Lovely dining rooms set aside from a lovely pub.. We go regularly and will continue doing so.
Great food, good value for money and the atmosphere was relaxing. All the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.we will be visiting the Bowling Green again.
Had a birthday meal with my family at the BG. We had a table in the new dining area - lovely atmosphere, very attentive service, no long waits for anything, despite it getting busy (even though it was Monday night it was still busy, which is a good sign). Monday night is burger night which includes a free dessert. We were too stuffed to get desserts but seeing as I'd had a burger they offered to give us one in a doggie bag to take straight home! All 5 of us enjoyed our meals - we will be going back....
With, excellent food, in a lovely environment, with very friendly staff, which is everything we'd expect of the Bowling Green, it never fails to disappoint
Easy parking, nice ambience, welcoming energetic staff, good food, speedy service. What's not to like? A friend and I have been meeting there for lunch for several years now and have every intention of continuing. Why look elsewhere?
Visited our son, who’s new to the area, so booked for the Saturday evening. The atmosphere was lovely, the choices on the menu varied and the quality of the was excellent and plenty of choices of drinks. Will definitely go again
Great food and large portions. Ham hock starter was a big portion with home made piccalilli- super. Mushrooms were in a lovely pepper sauce. Mains were great portion size and well cooked too.
Great pub and always lovely food served hot, full of flavour and taste. Staff aleays friendly and happy to provide you with whatever you need
Nice lively atmosphere, pleasant decor, helpful waiting staff. Unfortunately food was only average. Rump steak was on the tough side, Chicken Caesar salad was rather bland.
We enjoyed a very nice Sunday lunch with my family in nice surroundings. We asked for a few extras, including more gravy and they were quickly brought out. Friendly service.
The food was excellent, with a lot of choice. Surroundings were clean with plenty of space. Very busy, but staff still managed to be very polite & helpful. We had a really good evening.
The food and service was lovely as always. Very good Sunday roast
Excellent meal on Saturday evening. Have eaten here often, however now have to have GF good. Karen and Natalie were brilliant, very knowledgeable about GF, and there is a huge amount on the menu that is either GF or can be ‘tweaked’. Made dining out a great experience and highly recommend.
Decent beer selection and great choice of good honest pub food. Varied burger choice and the steak was a perfect medium rare.
very good food pleasant atmosphere good service highly recommend +++
Excellent food and service. Booked a table for 3 and couldn’t fault the venue at all. Pricing pretty decent as well. Everyone complimented how good the food was.
Great service and lovely food. Hosted us with a electric wheelchair and a high chair amongst our party. Nothing was too much trouble -the bowling green was great
Good food, good, value for money, good service, good atmosphere. The staff were friendly the service was prompt. What more can you ask for from a village pub.
Happy with the service and food. Have visited twice recently, both times been good. Prices reasonable for a lunch menu. Nobody wants too big a meal at lunchtime, so just right.
