Everything was great and very efficient service. We brought my daughter’s whippet puppy and sat in the bar and had plenty of space and felt very welcomed.

Excellent food and welcoming hosting as always. Menu changes regularly and always has plenty of choice. Good range of wines as well.

Great food and plenty of choice for vegans and those Like me with tricky food intolerances. The staff and chef were very helpful. Food intolerances are becoming common place, so it’s great to see restaurant that balances a great menu for everyone whilst being away most of us don’t tolerate gluten and dairy! Thank you.

We found this pub as a result of staying in the area for a party and wanting to have lunch after a walk the next day. Anywhere that suggests Elysium Black Muscat as a pairing wine for sticky toffee pudding has to be interesting, we thought and we weren’t disappointed. We had the two course Sunday lunch which was delicious but the tempura batter on the squid could have done with a few more seconds in the pan. Although we only had a half of beer on this occasion would love to return to sample some of the interesting gins and try some more delicious food.

Excellent Sunday lunch as always. Goats cheese starter especially delicious albeit slightly larger than expected so unfortunately could not fit in pudding!

This is a lovely country pub serving great food. Excellent value early bird menu. Dogs are welcome in some areas which is a bonus for us.

Had sunday lunch, it was busy so there was a delay getting our table. This was quickly forgotten and forgiven as the service and food was excellent. We have been there for dinner in the past and was also excellent.

Unfortunately the food was very poor, which we have never experienced before as normally very good. Shame as it left us feeling we shouldnt have bothered going.

We celebrated my dads 80th, they made us very welcome and the food was lovely

Lunch on a bleak, cold, wet, December day, made wonderful at one of my favorites places on the planet. A sophisticated array of today's specials, a table near a roaring fire, and a Bottle of St. Estephe with an exquisite cut of fillet steak. Does it get any better than this?
