Oh my word we had the best Sunday roast! We loved it! Food was amazing, looks incredible and out bellys left very happy! Staff were great too, we had a number of ladies serve our table and all were happy and just lovely in general!

Excellent food, good service but staff really busy so did need the odd reminder on drinks but not their fault. Overall would definitely recommend.

Normally it’s fantastic here, last night the food was very average, and the service, and the item I normally order tasted different not as delicious as previously. It was for a 50th birthday, which we told the waitress, but we weren’t made to feel special at all, which is uncommon for here, normally they cannot do enough for you.

PROs: Food is exceptional and the service was great. We had the fillet steak with a side order of garlic mushrooms and onion rings. **Would defiantly go again... CONs: Onions rings were just a load of batter dumped in a bowl... I wouldn't recommend them. £5 for a shandy is excessive, not sure it was even a pint but I could be wrong there.

Sunday lunch the first time that I visited was very good, all the veg was hot and so I decided to visit again with my husband who hadnt been with us before. The parsnips and carrots were cold as they were served in a tin mug in which they hung over the top. I love crispy potatoes, but these were served with so much grease still on them, the gravy was also tepid. I know they were very busy but their prices are high for a sunday lunch so standards shough be high. The 250ml of red wine was expensive at £7.00 so my husband had a beer instead. We did mention the probs to the waitress who very kindly apologised and also offered us drinks in way of compensation which we declined(we didnt mention the problems to gain anything) the service and welcome are second to none, it was just a bit disappointing about the meal. we will visit again when it is less busy.

We often go to the Chophouse but today we took our friends who were extremely impressed and said it was the best Sunday lunch they had. We love you all, well done.

Food was of gastropub standard, however prices where high for the food we received (£28 for Hake and extra charge for vegetables is a perfect example). Although meal was nice I would not eat there again.

We were sitted next to a big table that was really loud, gave us a massive headache and made it impossible to talk. Food was alright, but considering the price was nothing special. Because they were full the service was really really slow and when I asked for some bread, to have as a side for my main, they brought me 2 slices of regular bread (the one for toast) with some butter.

Great dining experience. Wholesome meals which were well presented and reasonably priced. Local produce used in the dishes. Wine list extensive and fair prices. Restaurant has great ambience with quirky decor. The waiting staff were very pleasant and chatty.

We had Sunday lunch the food and service was amazing! Can’t moan at 3 courses for £24! Very good portion sizes too! Would definitely recommend and will be returning again soon!

Our first here for my partners birthday. Heard good things and it didn't disappoint. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were taken straight to our table even though we were early. Starters we had panko calamari and creamy mushroom on bread chatuebriand for main (Gorgeous) and for dessert the chocolate brownie and the vegan (Not that were vegan) beetroot sorbet and chocolate moose. Loved the decor and the toilets were gorgeous will defo return. Thank You very much 👍👍👍

Food was amazing. Staff friendly & lovely atmosphere. Couldn't fault a thing & on our list of regular places to eat now. Luckily for us it is local & well worthy of 6 out of 6.
