Great food and service. Always great at the courtyard and the staff are always pleasant and helpful. The cocktail nights are great and brilliant value for money

We did enjoy our meal and it was as good as ever,the staff as usual were good and attentive.☺ This is one of my favourite places to eat but there was a wedding party and it was lovely but the children were chasing each other round the other diners which was off putting when eating.

Good food and fast service, the food didn't take a while to come out even though the restaurant was quite busy on a Saturday evening.

Lovely food and fast service but last orders was 8:30pm and had to leave by 9pm. Felt a little rushed but guess it was due to it being quite empty.

Lovely food and drink good serves and atmosphere helpful staff . I have been here a couple of times and I am happy to go back here again.

Very disappointed, our table was right in front of the toilets and the door for the disabled/baby changing was left open most of the time - lovely to view a toilet whilst eating. We had people walking by us the whole time as we were the walkway to everywhere. My chicken was very tough so couldn't eat it. To end it I was also over charged. States 2 course Sunday dinner is £12.95 but I was charged £15.45???

Welcomed and taken straight to our table the staff were friendly atmosphere buzzing you could drink at the bar if you did not want to eat we had tapas throughly recommend

Excellent food. Lovely attentive and helpful staff showed us to a table for two which was in a darker part of the restaurant, but moved us with no fuss when asked. The food was delicious and the tapas portions more generous than in other tapas bars we have been to. Overall a great night.

Friendly place, attentive staff, was busy for a Tuesday evening. Had a 40% off the tapas menu and a steak deal too. Food was good and would recommend this place to others

Booked a table for 9pm last night. After asking for it at 850, we then waited until 915 before having to ask again. At this point we were told they would sort it out, but this still took 10 more mins. We then ordered only to be told ten minutes later that two of our dishes were sold out. Offered alternatives (as opposed to a menu), the waiter claimed that cod cakes were 'pretty much the same' as chorizo croquettes. After waiting nearly 40 mins we got most of our food (we had to ask again for one dish) which was pretty bland overall and tasted like ingredients put together in a bowl as opposed to a plate of restaurant quality food. The drinks were not bad although advertising all cocktails as 2 for 10 underneath the section with the French martini only to then say the French martini is excluded is just infuriating..... Had heard good things about this place but won't be going back!

We had the tapas. Each of the dishes were tasty and enjoyable. The service was good and the overall cost of the meal was reasonable for the quality.

The food was delicious and cooked beautifully. The staff were very courteous and provided a great service! Very good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Steak night. Food was fab but steaks where 1/2 the size of my iPone5!!!!! Had tapas one lunch time so will stick with them in future.

Food and drinks where great, service was a little slow and we had to ask for a couple of things twice. It wasn't that busy and having been there a couple of times and had great service when it was really crowded, it was a bit surprising.

Honestly, not a good experience from beginning to end. There was no one to greet us, service was bad. Presentation of staff very scruffy and food bad. Microwaved food and overall poor quality. Table and floors dirty and decor very tired and of bad taste. Avoid!!

Great food great atmosphere freadly staff and very reasonable price will definitely visit again soon. My wife's birthday was very enjoyable indeed can't wait to go back.

The courtyard restaurant is a lovely place to go, if it's for 2 people or a large group, food and service superb,and good choice of food. Had never booked a table before through Quandoo and was so easy even for a novice like me. Thank you

We had Tapas which was lovely. The offer on cocktails was great too. Staff are very efficient, polite and friendly. Been here a few times and it never disappoints

Been here many times and loved it , but last night was a total disaster. It took 15 minutes to get served for a beer because the 3 bar staff were making cocktails, and there was only me waiting. The table was booked for 19:45, we were seated at 20:00. We ordered 7 dishes off the tapas menu. The hot bread was served 5 minutes later. We then never received another dish for 50 minutes by which time the bread was cold. When the food arrived the potato dish was only half a usual serving , it had been cut in half and split into 2 dishes. The chilli chicken dish was made with tiny pieces of chicken and again was only half full. The mushroom in sauce was like mushroom in water. We complained and showed the waitress who told the manager. The waitress informed us the manager said we can have 40% off , we hadn't eaten anything so refused . The manager then came over and looked at our food and agreed that we shouldn't pay . She was excellent in her manner and the way she dealt with us . I hope they have a look at staffing levels around the bar area when cocktails are on and also go back to the proper size dishes they use to serve. The tapas dishes are small enough without the kitchen staff reducing them smaller . I will give the place another go because we have had many a nice meal, but if it fails again it will probably be the last time. C Taylor . Prenton

Noisey and expensive what you did get to eat was nice but you needed to order at least 3 things per person to make up any sort of meal.

Asked for a children's menu, they said they don't do one on Sundays just a small version of adults roast dinner. Chef then came out and said he could do sausages and mash. Ordered one sausages, mash, peas and gravy and one chicken, mash, peas and gravy. Food came out, not what we ordered at all but chicken nuggets, chips and mushy peas and sausages, chips and mushy peas! So basically a children's meal!! Food was actually nice but there was far too much of it and loads was wasted. Service wasnt up to standard in my opinion.

Always a lovely experience. The food is amazing and there's a huge variety. The cocktails are lovely and good value for money. Favourite place to go for food and drinks!

From the moment we walked into The Courtyard we were warmly greeted and shown to our table straight away. The service the whole night was faultless, very polite and very attentive. We chose the tapas menu and we're so glad we did. Every dish we had was amazing, big portions and beautifully cooked. To top the night off too, on the night we went there was 40% off as well!! We will definitely be back!!

Fab food but a little noisy in terms of atmosphere if you're looking to have a chat. Helpful waitress service and food came out quickly

Had some lovely tapas deals together with a fantastic bottle of French Pinot Noir red wine. Only negative was that service was a little slow.

Food was excellent and good value for money due to the 40% discount on the tapas Service was a bit slow,especially when waiting for the bill at the end of our meal Overall-really good experience

Food and service both great. Was able to stay at the table and have waitress service for drinks too which was a nice touch. Some places would unseat you and expect you to go to the bar when you'd finished eating.

Excellent atmosphere and food. I love eating and drinking here! Bar service could be a bit quicker but we still had a lovely evening out!

There was an unavoidable strongly peppered, peppercorn sauce with the stake dish however hospitality was perfect beyond the fact I had to make myself visible to a bar member about the booking.

Lovely food and good service worth going to the gentleman who works serving food is so pleasant not sure of his name went on a weekday think a Thursday spend £20 Get a free bottle of wine!

Had the tapas - really great amount of choice. My friend enjoyed the egg and chips! Lovely service too, friendly but not obtrusive. Will be visiting again to try the cocktails!
