The Courtyard

Lovely food and atmosphere, the only downside is that it gets incredibly loud in the restaurant area especially when there are large groups in there and you find yourself hoarse after shouting to compete with the all the other diners.

Booked a table and when we arrived was very busy. Food order was very messed up ,while you wait courses came after the mains started to arrive, some food never turned up at all , some people had finished whilst others were still waiting and drinks had to be chased up on numerous occasions. Having said all that , the manager was fantastic and did her best to sort it all out and no complaints about the food when it finally arrived !

Excellent food as always. Possibly the best tapas on the Wirral. Our waiter, Keith, was friendly and courteous and went the extra mile to keep us happy. Will definitely eat there again. 😃

Ordered a Sunday roast, beef, but it was disappointing, as was the service. Overall I'm not surprised the restaurant was almost empty :-( :-( :-(

The venue is lovely, the food choice was excellent, the servic could have been better. We waited about 40 mins for the food, just before it came out we were told we would have to pick another dish because there was none left of something. This would have been useful when we first ordered. The food could have been hotter too. It was a very busy Saturday night so I can imagine that at a quieter time this place is lovely. Hasn't put me off going again though. Will just pick my time more wisely!

Excellent food and excellent service ... we are looking forward to going again soon ... the restaurant staff were extremely attentive and went out of their way to help me enjoy my birthday celebrations.

Great food, friendly service, good deal with bottle of wine if spending over £25. It was very busy and service was a little slower than previous visits, but as ever a really good evening was had!

The food was very good, however the service really let it down. Just needs more care and attention to detail. Having to ask for condiments and for plates to be removed. Nobody asked were we happy with the food. Disappointing, but will try again incase it was just a one off bad day.

Food was lovely. The lamb cutlets were abit dry but the rest of the tapas was gorgeous we demolished it all and added a pudding. We had a table booked for 6.45 Felt a little rushed but still had a lovely time

Very relaxed and lovely look to the courtyard. Very good for an after work meal with friends or family. Good deal on Mon - Wed.

They have a lovely tapas selection and the extra bonus of 40% off food the night we went. Service was good and staff friendly which has been consistent every visit we have had

Food was good but atmosphere was rubbish. Couldn't have a conversation with the people sat next to me because of the noise. People were seating there drinking ad banging our table with the chairs. Some of them were quite drunk. We had to get up and move to other table. It used to be a nice place

Excellent as ever, however one of my favourites wasn't on the menu. Potatoe cakes with spring onion. Please add them back on the menu. Staff lovely and very friendly

Food was absolutely lovely as always and great service! Even brought out a cake with a sparkler candle for the birthday girl and a free cocktail! Will definitely be going again.

Service was very slow and incorrect wine served. It was a Wednesday night which offers 40% discount which is a great offer but more staff needed.

Lovely food and drinks - very much enjoyed! (But be aware - very busy place - we were told as we sat down they would need the table back by a certain time (put us on edge slightly and very aware of time), can also be very noisy in there as quite small.) Will be returning definitely!

Great food apart from the 10 inch hair in the fish. Still one of my favorite restaurants. Would of been happier if they had not charged me for the fish.

Excellent venue, food sublime. Good menu. Portion size is exactly right. Service is attentive without being in your face. Parking can be an issue I imagine, but we dropped straight into a space just a short walk away. We will be back for more!

Delicious 😋 tapas, we go here frequently as we really love the food - breakfast, lunch are also great. We went for breakfast Mothers Day (booking essential) what a treat that was.

My companions tapas dishes were lovely. I pointed out mine were not. Nothing said by staff so little disappointed. (Steak unpleasant and dauphinois potatoes overcooked). Couple of the staff didn't appear to want to be there either; not v engaging. Almost distracted. Wouldn't discourage me from going again; hopefully just one of those nights.

We ordered our food and when the starters came out my partners came first and we had to wait for mine, in the end I had to ask were they were.

The evening was very disappointing , the quality of the food even at forty percent off wax very poor . We ordered the prawn linguine normally £6.75 , it had 4 tiny prawns in it , the other dishes were of similar poor content in terms of either the fish or the chicken , very poor value The manager was excellent , tried very hard to placate us I think he understood our point - make sure you keep him he's a gem

This is a quality restaurant with the food being lovely and the staff and service good fast and efficient I have now been a few times and this place has never let me down

Plenty of choice and really good. food in excellent suroundings. Only down point was service could have been a little better. Very good value for money

Lovely food and great service. There were fab offers on on a Monday. Two cocktails for 10 pound. Then we got the tapas deal which was lovely.

Nice atmosphere, nice food. Tables were on top of each other, so no real privacy to have a conversation. Bar staff were rude, but waitress was lovely.

Great food, great and fast service. Good value for money! The cocktails are very tasty and are two for ten pounds! Service is always friendly!

Food very tasty and cocktails delicious. Service awful. Waited over half an hour for cocktails which when came were wrong no apology just taken back the bar no replacement sent and still charged for them at the end. Food was tasty when it came but had to actually get up and intterupt the waitresses lovely conversation and giggles just to get the bill. We had requested this 20 minutes before. All in all nice food but terrible service.

Great food but had to wait ages for food, but we were told and offered free nibbles. Staff a bit disorganised getting drinks wrong and being asked same questions. Would definitely go back though.

Quick reservation, food delicious we had tapes, great choice of drinks including 2 for £10 cocktails. Highly recommend - we go quite regular and have never been disappointed

Love going to the courtyard always freindly and attentive staff on duty. Food is tip top couldn't ask for more. Will be back very soon.

Great place for a night out, either for food or just a drink. Friendly and lively atmosphere.love this place as it is suitable for all age groups.

Very nice food, good sized portions , good prompt service, cocktails where lovely. Slightly noisy, although it was a Saturday night so understandable Would go again

We all had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the food and ambience. The staff were excellent. Only problem some may find is service can be slow at times, but we weren't in a rush so got to talk for longer
