Having visited The Finch's, several times, in the past, we found this visit not to be of previous experiences. The noise is just too much, we were unable to chat, the waitress was too busy dealing with friends. We were booked for 7.30pm and already somethings were not available on the menu. Very disappointing I don't think we will be back at The Finch's again.

Another first class visit to The Finch's Arms, the food is always top class and we are always made welcome. This was our first visit of 2020 and we look forward to visiting again at sometime during the year.

Haven’t been there for a very long time, has been refurbished to a very pleasing state. Slightly noisy due to no window furnishing which would absorb the noise somewhat. It was too busy so when full would be much noisier, lovely atmosphere and the out side area looked very appealing, will go back in the summer. Food excellent!

Fabulous birthday lunch sat in the beautiful garden overlooking Rutland Reservoir. The food was delicious and the service welcoming, attentive and friendly. Will be returning for an evening meal with the family!

Warm convivial atmosphere. Good selection on the menu, and likewise for the wine list. Attentive professional service. Minute steak slightly overdone, otherwise thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of our favourites. Worth making the journey. Lovely part of the country. Good food, service in a convivial atmosphere. Standards have been maintained for many years. We'll be back soon.

The service felt a bit rushed. We were given the bill when we had not asked for it, even before being asked if we would like a dessert or coffee. The table was being cleared before one of us had finished eating and our wine bottle was removed before it was empty. Felt like they wanted us to leave.

Despite having a confirmed reservation for 2 pm, we arrived to find the was a booked private wedding party and the pub was closed for the afternoon with last orders at 1.15pm fortunately we had arrived early with the intention of a walk first. Our food was its usual great standard however the manager struggled with an apology I had to suggest myself we rebooked a table for 1 or else I don’t think I would have been offered it.

Excellent food, service was good, beer and wine was also excellent. Was pricey but I think worth it. Little details made it worth while for sure. There was only two of use but we were on a table where in another pub they would have put 6 people round. Jut gave a different feel I guess. Would come again, but next time we will visit in the summer when we can look out over the water.

Having not been to the Finch’s Arms before we weren’t sure what to expect. We went there for my duaghter’s 21st birthday so it needed to be special! We were not disappointed! The restaurant itself is lovely; very airy and light and the food was lovely. I look forward to the weather being a little warmer so we can return and sit outside. Appropriate size portions and reasonably priced. The service was really good too; attentive, courteous and quick. We will be returning for either a special occasion or after a bracing walk around the reservoir.

Again a very pleasant lunch. The staff are excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. We have visited The Finch's several times and they never fail to impress. We will be back but unfortunately, for us, it will be next year.

Marvellous little place, found completely by chance whilst in the area and fancied a spot of lunch - high end food, not the cheapest, but great nevertheless - would recommend to anyone.

It has been a while since I last visited and I suspect the menu has been rather curtailed. No fresh lobster this time! Nevertheless we enjoyed a good lunchtime meal in a great outside setting. The food from the day menu was tasty and good value.

Had a lovely evening meal on Thursday evening. There was a good variety to choose from on the menu, the food was beautifully cooked and the service was efficient. Have already booked for dinner with relatives for July.
