As always an excellent meal Attentive staff, with a reasonable bill at the end Only one concern, a better quality coffee would make the restaurant perfect

We were greeted as we entered and our table was shown to us. We were not asked for coats. We had a bit of a wait for anyone to come over with menus and when we ordered drinks they failed to arrive. We had to ask for them again by which time we had already ordered food. Our meals were all delicious, but our overall experience was definitely let down by haphazard service. Empty drinks glasses remained on the table throughout. Plate of chips still sitting on tbale when dessert was served.....what a shame to have poorly trained staff in such a lovely restaurant.

What a find! In the strangest of places! Lovely place to spend the evening, decor very classy, staff attentive. menu and execution delicious and inventive every course choice that delivered on flavour value. My son is a chef and he said he love a place like this!! Will be back often 2 Foodies that are hard to please!

One of the nicest meals we have had in Glasgow. The salmon tartare was precise in its parts but nicely blended with smokey overtones. The dover sole was firm, perfectly cooked and well complimented by the creme fraiche and caper sauce; a better combination than meuniere. Straightforward and very nice people.

Have just enjoyed another super lunch at The Fish People Cafe. The 2 course lunch for £13 is great value. The young lady who served us was helpful and very pleasant. Have recommended restaurant to friends. Will definitely return.

As you might have guessed the fish people cafe specialize in fish. They are owned by the same people who run the fishmonger next door. My mussels and scallops in a thai broth was fresh and excellent followed by an excellent piece of lemon sole for main course. Dessert of a rhubarb sponge with ice cream was lovely. Service was attentive but not over bearing from a young combo. Overall will go again very good.

Lovely meal and atmosphere. There are only a few tables so definitely book if you want to be sure of a table. It still felt lively though and we enjoyed our evening. Our starters and mains were delicious although we were a little disappointed with our deserts as it didn't feel like all the elements belonged on the same dish. Would recommend this restaurant though, it was lovely.

First class food and service. Busy little place for a Saturday evening and would advise early booking. Apart from standard menu there is also a couple of specials. One not to be missed

Delicious! Not too fussy, simply and perfectly cooked fish, had three courses and none of it was over seasoned or let flavour 'swamp' the fish and all in a surprising place! I really enjoyed it.

Fabulous food - great starters and the mains were great - tandoori whole sea bass and fish "stew" Missed a trick by not asking us if we wished to have pudding/desert? 4 time we have been and will definately be back. Glasgow's best restaurant "Secret"!

Fabulous food and attentive but, not intrusive, staff. Don't be put off by the appearance of the surrounding area, this restaurant can hold its own with the heavyweights! If fish is your forte, you must sample this hidden gem.

Delicious food and excellent and friendly service. Only one non fish dish on the menu and perhaps one more would widen the customer base even more.

Lovely restaurant with a variety of fish and seafood dishes as well as gorgeous desserts. All four of us enjoyed our meals--I especially liked my scallops and crab caesar salad. Great service too. Looking forward to our next visit! Recommended.

Excellent food as always, however we were slightly rushed for time given the 2 hour max stay. This was partly our fault having arrived 10 mins late but was handled in a slightly aburpt manner by the waiter. We did after some negociation manage desert, which was an 8.5/10, not the usual 10/10. Though I still rate then as joint best for deserts in Glasgow with Ox and Finch.
