Excellent fish food, interesting variety to choose from. I loved the crab salad! And you definitely have to try the pea soup with smoked haddock und crispy shallots. Also a good wine list. Very friendly service.

First time visit after threatening to book for years. Well worth the wait. Cosy surroundings, different presentation of food, ceasar salad with anchovies, attentive service and not overbearing in an intimate venue. Will definitely be back. Great value.

The presentation of the Dover Sole was unusual and surprising as in pieces whereas the curried sea bass was a whole fish! Both tasted delicious! Jug of water for the table was garnished with cucumber, which I dislike but they were happy to provide me with a separate glass with just ice.

My friends and I had a fabulous experience at The fish people restaurant. The oysters were probably the best I've ever tried and the whisky spray idea was very welcome! Impeccable service and great detection of wines. We'll definitely be back!

My wife and me had a late lunch here yesterday. The food was amazing and the service was first class. The stone bass was the best I have ever tasted. We will be retuning the next time we are in Glasgow.

This is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal as it is warm and comfortable both in temperature and ambience. Very good service with lots of chilled water without having to ask, wine at the right temperature and tablet with coffee! The best thing though is the fish, a really good choice if different dishes all cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

Monkfish starter melted in mouth as did sole. Delicious desserts too. French sauvingon blanc complemented seafood beautifully and service was excellent. We'll definitely be back. It's a real treat as it can be a bit expensive but you get quality for what you pay.

We had a very happy experience. The dining room is intimate and attractive. The service was warm, efficient and unobtrusive. The fish -both sea bass and sole- were beautifully fresh, cooked to perfection and their accompaniments delicious and attractively presented. We liked the bitter chocolate and almond délice especially well for dessert. Wine by the glass was also delicious.

Superb food all based upon fresh fish. The variety and choice made for great difficulty in what to choose from the menu. When you then add the friendly and efficient service you can understand why this restaurant deserves its 6. Indeed if we could have given it 7,8or 9 we wouid have.

Lovely restaurant, where the menu is obviously mainly seafood based. The staff were all very attentive - the place was roughly 75% full so they were busy but not rushed off their feet. The meals themselves were topnotch. Portion sizes were not excessive so you didn't feel overly full, but definitely not stingy. I'll be back ;)

Food and service was brilliant. We had soup and oysters as our two starters which were excellent, both had tandoori sea bass for main which is the best sea bass I've had and then my wife had lime and coconut posset as desert and she loved it too. Seemed to have a good selection of wines and spirits too although didn't try any. All the meals that went to other tables looked really food too. Only fault would be lack of parking. Only parking was in subway and it was £5.40 no matter how long.

A very reliable restaurant with fabulous fish. I have had the chunky fish stew with rouille, croutons and grated gruyere almost every time I’ve eaten there, it’s so good! I took a friend for a birthday lunch last week. He hadn’t been before and was blown away by his beautifully sauced brill. The service is excellent . Professional but friendly. Although it looks out of the way, it isn’t! Arrive by subway to enjoy some wine. 12 minutes from the West End. Less from the city centre. As you alight from the escalator , this little oasis is right in front of you! Cafe is a bit of a misnomer . It’s quite chic, as is the clientele. Go!
