The Ford Inn

It was our first time at The Ford and we will be back again. The food served was really tasty (chicken & leek pie and Chicken & Stilton) and big portions too! Lovely table service from the waiting staff and we were welcomed when we arrived. Good prices too!

The meal was excellent, served hot and fresh produce, service was excellent, not overpowering, very pleasant staff. Very clean and welcoming. will be back and deffo recommend to friends.

Went into the pub for 12.30. It was uncomfortably cold inside, I heard other diners mentioning it. The food was good as always. I mentioned the lack of warmth to the waitresses who said they were very cold themselves despite the heating being on full.

Good food, and polite staff , good value for the money.

Only two staff on a few tables booked and a large party in also Out dated decor and in poor condition , left before plates removed from table due to staff shortage Will not be going back again Well understaffed for amount of tables booked

Excellent food and service. We will be visiting again for a Sunday lunch. I'd say bypass the pub up the road and go here ! Food was delicious

The white bait was tasteless, the pork belly was dried out and tough,(looked like it had been reheated from the day before) stake and ale pie meat lacked taste and was tough, gravy like water. Chips not fully cooked. Most disapointed as other reviews are good thats why we went,

It was Sunday and it was busy. Our table wasn’t ready but wasn’t a problem was given another one . The food was good and tasty. Unfortunately the peti poi’s were like bullets

Had a beautiful Sunday roast here. Staff were lovely and friendly and very efficient even though it was a busy time of day food was excellent, the only thing we found was the gravy lacked a bit of flavour and there wasn’t enough which is the only reason I haven’t given it top marks. We will definitely go back again.

Second visit the food was lovely, large portions and friendly service.

First visit and all i can say is the sunday roast was excellent,plenty of food and great service,highly recommend

It is a very good restaurant. The staff looked after us very well. The food is great, reasonably priced and well presented. The hosts are very welcoming and work very hard. I cannot recommend The Ford enough.

Really pleased with our choice. Great service at the bar and table. It was my Mum's birthday meal and all our guests really enjoyed their meal. We'll be visiting here again ... if they'll have us? :-)

Had Sunday lunch. Liked the position of the table reserved for us and we were seated quickly and drinks order arrived soon afterwards. We ordered roast beef and roast chicken breast which arrived piping hot with extra gravy about 30 minutes later. The beef was very good ‘though not pink as described on menu. The fresh vegetables were cooked to al dente - perfect for us. Unfortunately the chicken breast was over cooked and very dry. Friendly, helpful staff.

Food very good. Knocked off a point as there appeared to be only two staff on duty for bar and restaurant, so there was a bit of a wait ordering etc. Will definitely return though.

We had Sunday lunch which was excellent. Lots of meat and very fresh veg. My only constructive feedback would be the gravy could have been better.

The food tasted stale, I know we went at 6.30pm but the food should always be fresh!!!! The yorkshire puddings we sent back only to have another as stale.

Lovely atmosphere , landlord very friendly and accommodating .Kitchen accommodated food for 8 month old child . The only reason for the for lower value for the noise levels was that there was just a little time when the people at the next table were a little noisy making it difficult for us to hear one another . However it was only a party who were enjoying themselves and it was not for long Wonderful time !

Long wait, food ok, poor service. Good for a drink but nothing more. Shame
