Great food good service. Early bird great value. I had the pie on early bird menu but only comes large and is full price, don’t know why it’s on the early bird menu! But it was lovely

Excellent gravy and sticky toffee puddings and ice cream. Service for drinks was very slow so didn’t order coffees. Very busy so quite noisy but this pub is an old haunt of my families going way back so would definitely go again. Recommend you try it.

A great catch up with good friends but we were pushed for time and the service was slower than usual. We didn't get the homemade bread we are usually offered either.

We had seen the recommendation in Hugh Cantlie’s book. Liked the menu and decided to try the pub on our way south.

I live close by and regularly visit the Fox n hounds! It is by far the best Sunday Dinner money can buy. I’ve always thought the decor needs modern twist, but the food is first rate!!

Food was excellent, most of the staff were young & very inexperienced which resulted in mistakes. Tables are too close together.

Booked a table of 5 today and we were extremely disappointed, the service was slow and the food was well below average. My partners starter was served cold the fish and chips tasted very strange I believe it may because of what they where cooked in. The only plus being the wine although at £33 per bottle you expect no less. Shall not be returning and would not recommend a visit

Fabulous Sunday lunch with Yorkshire pudding to die for. Assiette of puddings just so yummy!! Stayed for the evening quiz and had a wonderful time, included by the locals into their team and could not have been made to feel any more welcome. Great village atmosphere, well done all the staff especially Maggie and Phil. Alan just keep up the great cooking x

We all used the early evening menu. The 2 courses were excellent value with a good choice of starters and mains. Very filling so no desserts ordered. Tables were very close together. There were 6 on our table so some had to get up to allow 2 people to their table.

Another excellent lunch. Roast beef of first class quality served rare. My only gripe was that I forgot to ask for the gravy on the side. Ice cream to follow was delicious. Service attentive and friendly. Good VFM.

Fantastic food, well cooked and served. All home made, the beef was perfect. Unfortunately the table service was a little slow, and we had to request the desert menu. But will return as the food made up for the slow service.

We have been eating here for many years but never tried the Sunday Roast , having moved to Cheshire recently it was a chance to eat there with a family member and we were not disappointed with excellent food at good prices and great service.
