The Horns Inn

Much better food than the last time I was at the Horns. Family get together for Christmas eve, only downside was it was a little cramped but hey its Christmas! :)

There were 6 of us ladies having a pre-ordered meal from the festive menu. It was a very cold evening and we were given a table in the coldest part of the pub miles away from a lovely real fire. Having booked the meal early in October I thought we might have been given a table near the fire. However, the food, when it came was fine and there was plenty of it. I had to query the bill twice before the bar staff got it right. We did enjoy the evening but it could have been better.

Lovely roast plenty of lamb , red velvet cheese cake light and tasty, husband enjoy the custard with the fruit cake, very tight tables though but all in all lovely

Staff very friendly and prompt service. Food quality good (especially Beer Battered Brie). Christmas decorations made it look very cheery and festive. Will definitely return.

Fantastic pub/restaurant. Eaten here many times and will keeping going back. The food is gorgeous, always hot and plenty of it! The staff are really friendly and helpful.

it was a lovely at the Horns Inn last night had a lovely meal so big had to struggle to finish it would certainly come again. food was lovely and well cooked and presented. staff good very polite.

Great food well worth the money plus it's got 2 open log fires . We also took are dog with us so very dog friendly

For a local pub the food is excellent and great value. We enjoyed our meal. The staff were friendly, very helpful, cleared the table promptly and the finishing touch of mints with the bill was much appreciated. Will be going again. Thank you

Best afternoon cream tea very fresh very well served all staff helpful. Really good value for money definitely have it again and again took friends they were very impressed by their first visit.

Fab choice of meals to suit everyone, huge portions and delicious too. Very friendly staff and great ambience in there. This was our second visit and I've no doubt we'll return again soon

Great place ... good, reasonably priced food, very good service and atmosphere. Plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend the Horns Inn to family & friends as a great place to eat.

Great evening although bar service is slow but we know that's the norm so we were not upset - we are used to it. Will we go back? Yes

I was completely taken in by the reviews, and I couldn't disagree more. The place is sticky, my hunters chicken was covered in a gloopy sauce and it's not particularly good value. Most of the trip advisor views suggest that the food is outstanding but I wonder if they were left by friends and family of the pub; the food was just below average and the portion size was also average. The ladies behind the bar were polite and efficient but the waiting staff seemed to be in a constant state of daze and confusion, and not particularly warm either. Before stepping into a customer service role people really need to stop and think whether it suits their character... Overall I would say this is definitely a drinking pub but it needs investment and care. The worst thing you can experience in a food pub is a sticky table coupled with a sticky floor...

The Horns is good friendly pub with very obliging staff. Despite a retirement party going on, our food came at a reasonable time after ordering. We thought that it was good value for money and all four of us enjoyed our individual choices.

Were put on a table where the noisy drinkers were who were very loud and few blowing out smoke from their efags. Food was OK ish . Don't mix drinkers with diners. Good service. Had Sunday dinner there which was very good but yet again on a table with noisy drinkers around.

Well the Sunday roast was poor, I've never had such bad roast potatoes and soggy Yorkshire pudding, to be fair the pork was good, and veg ok. Yet again, all these establishments carnt get the simple stuff right, how hard is it to cook veg good, we can all do it at home?

The food was served quickly which is always good however the chicken was dry. Abit concerning when the fire alarm goes off and the staff just stand there looking at eachother though...

The food was excellent, the portions generous and the service was good. This restaurant could easily become a favourite, and we will be returning very soon.

had a nice meal , quick service but reservation was not showing on their system which was a bit of a concern but thankfully a table was available

Food is always fantastic ... good quality, piping hot, plenty of it and really good value for money. The pub has a great atmosphere ... busy, cheerful and the staff are lovely. I've eaten here a few times now and and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Our meal was lovely and we all enjoyed it. However we found the noise level so high we ate and left. We couldn't hear ourselves without shouting.

Lively on a Friday evening good value well cooked and presented but a little but cramped where we sat. However well worth a visit and excellent staff.

Food less than average for the price. Reserved table was stuck in the corner of a very loud locals public bar. Check your bill, they tried to charge for an extra bottle of wine on my tab. Would not recommend this place.

Helpful and friendly staff. The pub had a good bustling atmosphere and was busy for early evening. The salmon salad in the wrap was huge.

We had a brilliant Sunday lunch could not fault service or meal top notch and to top it all we were served by an x voice contestant whom we recognised. FANTASTIC all round. We will definitely recommend you.

The food was excellent, We were a party of four and did not have to wait long for our meal. The staff were pleasant and made the overall experience very satisfactory.

Everything great we will be back staff helpfull food hot and well presented, log fire, warm friendly pub, if all that visit get the same attention great.

Excellent meal very busy but looked after all okay a little longer to wait for meal but the difference is the meal is all just been cooked all fresh vegetables no frozen and a very good sized plate will be going again

A great roast with the family!! A real log fire and good service made it a really enjoyable experience. We will be returning. We booked on line and that worked really well

Great service, very friendly, brilliant food as always. Large portions. Decorated nicely for Valentines day and option to have normal menu. Always love this pub.

Lovely meal with friends very good service! Not rushed in anyway lovely relaxing evening, just booked another meal this time with family, would recommend to anyone.
