We had a wonderful meal. Tasty and well presented. Service was friendly and welcoming. Really couldn't fault for quality of food, bright and cheerful atmosphere and friendly service. Thank you!

Yet another thoroughly enjoyable meal. The Horse and Farrier manage to make their many visitors feel valued and at home while serving great food in a lovely pub.

Soup brilliant as usual but my main disappointing because the veg side was over cooked. Otherwise fine and the other main was spot on. Good to see well behaved dogs.

Wonderful old pub which is warm and welcoming with attentive and chatty staff. Squid and mushrooms as starters, piping hot and very well cooked and presented. Nice cold drinks from the bar - Wainwright Gold and Pinot Grigio - and quickly served. We both had lamb Henry for our mains: superbly cooked lamb fell off the bone and lots and lots of veggies. But, the portions were simply huge and we were embarrassed to send so much back. Nevertheless, a lovely meal provided by wonderful staff in a great location. Now for. Very long snooze! Thank you. Heartily recommended.

Great food, enjoyed the Caprese and lamb Henry cooked to perfection. Attentive friendly staff, gave us the right amount of time between courses. Range of wines good, value for money. There’s a wonky wall light however that troubled one of our party who has an eye condition. It kept dimming then going bright, bit distractive. Waitress said electricians could not find a fault. Happening over another table too. Shame. All in all, a fabulous evening. Thank you. We’ll be back.

The food was exceptional my only regret was I couldn’t manage to eat it all. Maybe it would benefit if you did a smaller plate of roast dinner as an option as I hate to waste food.

Dour staff, flat atmosphere, average food, one meal extremely poor and left uneaten but staff didn’t ask why nor seemed to care. There’s far friendlier pubs around serving great food; don’t waste your time & money!

Great experience. We aren’t local we had a cabin booked nearby and booked the horse and farrier. It was amazing. A very romantic vibe for couples and good for families also.

Service was very slow. Staff seemed to be just waiting around yet we waited ages for our drinks and had to eventually go up and ask. Food was nice and pub is lovely.

Nice pub, meal rather spoilt but a n over hot veg curry served as the gluten free option. We had no problem sending it back and the staff came up with an alternative as it wasn’t the only complaint about the over seasoned curry that night.

Food and drink was very nice and included a few options for gluten free guests although I believe a number of the other option could have been made without gluten which would expand the range available without detriment to others. The meal was rather spoilt by being seated next to a young child who was clearly not capable of ‘sitting up nicely’ and was probable too tired anyway - not his fault but just disrupting for us.

Great menu. Daily specials always different. Good drinks selection. Loads of parking.

Charged adult price for kids meal when clearly ordered 2x kids meals. Got peas when ordered beans with one kids meal. Clearly said beans. The younger guy who took the orders needs to repeat it back to avoid happening for others.

The staff could not have been more attentive. Even tried to win over my grumpy dog. Food was delicious and piping hot. A lovely way to celebrate as part of my husbands 50th birthday celebrations. Restaurant was clean and tidy as were the toilets.

Seated and served quickly, great that it's dog friendly, only issue we had after we'd finished no one came near table for too long, we kept trying to catch waitress attention, eventually went up and paid at reception, so if knew we could of paid there would've done that earlier rather than just sat waiting, we know that know and did enjoy the food.

Poor service inattentive waiters. Had to go to the bar in the middle of our meal for drinks. Wasn’t asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee
