Booked a table for Sunday lunch but arrived to find it was 2 armchairs at a small table which not really suited for eating a meal. They did move us when one became available though. The veg portion served was so small we had 3 green beans each. Could contact waiting staff to get some more. Delicious meal though.

Food and service excellent, only thing I wasn't keen on was it was very warm, especially after eating!

Visited today for family lunch. Couldn't fault the food - recommend the chicken dauphinoise dish especially but everyone enjoyed their dishes. Great inobtrusive service. Would visit again. Very clean in all areas too

My partner and myself always thoroughly enjoy visiting The Horse and Groom for Sunday roasts! The food is to-die-for, everything tastes fresh and flavourful and the service is brilliant. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for food and I regularly bring family here when they visit us!

Excellent evening at the Horse and Groom. Good selection of drinks and friendly bar and waiting staff. Food was delicious and well presented . Busy place but good atmosphere on a Friday night. Definitely would go back.

Amazing food. Fantastic service (which is hard to finding these days). A large variety of food and drinks to choose from. Also, situated in the perfect location for drinks in town afterwards. Can’t wait to be back!

Some of the food was lovely Gammon was chewy and pie had a soggy bottom.

The food was a bit disappointing. I had banners and mash . Sausages were overcooked and tough.The staff were however amazing!

The meal was lovely but the pub was very unstaffed.

I have had lots of meals here before and have chosen it for quality and atmosphere - was a little disappointed with the roast pork on this occasion, for the price thought the quantity of meat and crackling on the small side

No Sunday roasts, menu was very limited, food was okay but not really worth the price we paid. Used to love it here, not sure what has happened but don’t think we’ll be going back which is a shame

We had a good visit, with friendly service and good food. We were just a little disappointed having booked in for a Sunday Roast that they were all sold out by the time we arrived. This is just credit to how tasty they must have been. Will be back.

Service was a little slow but we could see it was busy. A simple explanation would have gone down well.
