Lovely meal, great service & cosy welcoming decor, really enjoyed

Service was very good and Sunday lunch was lovely, The only thing I would criticise was the beef being a bit tough/chewy but everything else was made perfectly. No longer live in Lincoln but had a fantastic lunch with other visiting relatives during the summer and have been back to the horse and groom a few times since. Would definitely recommend to others

No roast dinner left on the menu and the room was too hot - food took ages to arrive.

A very pleasant experience with friendly and helpful staff. They were particularly up to speed on assistance with a food intolerance. I felt very reassured by their attitude and ordered the meal with confidence. The price was very reasonable too. The only downside was it was an unseasonably warm evening and it was a bit stuffy. But would recommend.

We arrived a few minutes early and went straight to our table. The service was excellent and the food was great.

Unfortunately the roast beef that I ordered was so tough as to be inedible. The staff responded promptly to my complaint and the roast chicken replacement was fine. On the handful of occasions we have visited the Horse and Groom this is the first time we have had cause to complain. The slice of beef I received was genuinely awful. G Plaskitt

The desert wasn’t up to standard. The pastry was very hard. You need to tell customers face to face that they have to sign their cars in. We nearly missed seeing a poster and this could have lead to a fine .

waited more than forty mins for food had to go back to the bar think our order was lost and then wrong when brought out was replaced without any problems

We booked on line for 8pm On arrival we were told the kitchen closes at 8.30 and most items on the menu were sold out 😤 The food we got was fine but we dined to the racket of tables being dragged and repositioned 😡

The service of the staff was without exception. They were faultless. The food was brilliant. Without doubt, one of the best places to eat in Lincoln. We have never had a bad experience there.

Visited sun 11 August pre booked table Chose the beef roast. Both the Yorkshire & roast potatoes where stale / warmed up. The roast potatoes in particular where like cannon balls, This was very disappointing bearing in mind the cost, The waitress insisted all was fresh cooked today but it clearly was NOT However knocked £5 off the total bill Our total for two drinks and two poor meals was £29 poor value for money ! Any chef/ cook is aware of the quality of food being served and should not allow this to happen sadly reflecting on the integrity of the whole organisation Will not attend again Stick to Toby for quality and value Chris Brown
