Really great food and service , just one niggle , we had a vegetarian in our party , and was disappointed there was not more fish options other than cod and chips and salmon . everything thing else that was advertised in the fish range was not available . But all in all we enjoyed .

My wife, mother-inlaw and I had an excellent meal with friendly service thank you. The beaf curry was very good and the summer pudding was one the best I have tasted!

Lovely food and fabulous service. Always our first choice of restaurant. We always eat out on a Sunday and the Kings Head serve the best roast dinner we've come across.

We visited with friends from the North of England, they and us were very impressed with the food, we had the sunday roast it was delicious

An excellent lunch menu today. Friend from South Africa was impressed by the quality and price of what was on offer. Good beer and a very drinkable South African wine .Pretty crowded for a Tuesday lunch but staff were cheerful and very busy. Have taken French visitors there in the past and they have been amazed at the quality of the food.

8 of us visited here and all experienced fabulous food and friendly and attentive staff. Definitely would recommend and return if ever in the area again

Lovely meal from lunch menu, brisket in bun highly rated and omelette very nice. Desserts....once again... highlight for all 4 of us. Good service and excellent value. Can't wait to go again!

Absolutely wonderful.... We had a party of 7 people, ranging in ages from 16/81 years and everyone thoroughly enjoyed there meal. We will definitely be coming back!!!😀 xx

Food was fantastic we all had the Sunday roasts, restaurant was extremely busy as it was 6pm on a Sunday evening so service was a little slower than we would have liked but i guess reasonable as all tables fully booked.The Staff were great, very friendly and we were kept informed of what was happening so our expectations were managed very professionally, we particularly appreciated being informed as soon as we were seated which choices had sold out, again expertly avoiding customer disappointment. We will definitely be returning .

We are regular customers of The Kings Head, Napton and we've never been disappointment in their food. There is always a phenomenal selection of dishes, something for everyone. All dishes come as a generous portion, to the extent that we've had to train ourselves to eat pudding! I really love that the dishes are regularly updated or replaced by more seasonal recipes. All in all, delicious food for a great price!

Great food, well cooked, well presented, service is first class and wine list is good value, great to see the Blade of Beef Wellington on as a special. we will keep coming back, overall value is very good,

Went for two celebrations. Haven't been for around 18 months. It's always been pretty good but feel that it's really upped it's game. Service was excellent and personal. Waitresses were cheerful and friendly. The food was good quality and perfectly cooked. Couldn't fault it.

Fantastic meal, delicious pork & chorizo burger and rib eye steak. The portions are very generous so unfortunately no room for a pudding, gutted! Great service too!

Both the food and the service, once our order was taken, were very good. Very large portions giving you excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

Food was a mixed bag, some elements of dishes were good, others not so. For the price you pay you would expect better refinement & execution. Also service was very slow, 2.5 hours for a two course meal.

My family had a wonderful meal here on Father's Day. Although the mercury was rising the staff kept their cool with excellent service and the food was superb as always.

Food excellently prepared, cooked and presented. Just the right amount. Atmosphere inside pub was friendly and relaxing. Pub is exceptionally clean. Staff amazingly attentive and smiling all the time whilst addressing clients. Menu varied sufficiently, but not too varied as render choosing what to eat becoming a chore and headache. Choice of wine and beers very good, with real ales that I had never heard of that tasted like they should be reserved for VIPs! All in all, a most excellent watering and dining establishment. Definitely in my UK top five at number 3.

Excellent food and service on a busy evening. Would have no hesitating in recommending this lovely, lovely pub come restaurant to everyone. Looking forward to a return visit.

The menu wasn't extensive but OK, the food was good and the prices reasonable. There is good local beer available as well as a pretty good wine selection. The dining rooms were nicely decorated and there is the option to sit outside too.

Fantastic food and fantastic service as always. The special Fathers Day Daddy Burger was a big hit and the prawns rapped in spiralized potato an interesting accompaniment mixing the soft prawns with the crispy potato. It beat my husband though and he had to be helped finishing the chunky chips by my son.

Great food as usual and good atmosphere, the menu has a wide range of food for all tastes. Nice beer garden to relax in before or after your meal.

Top food and top service as always.There is know where local which provides first class service and top of the range meals regardless as to lunchtime or evening that comes close.The Kings Heads have kept up these mene to delight its customers everytime.

Excellent food & staff. Really enjoyed our visit. Would recommend very very highly. The night we visited they were short staffed due to a outside catering event they were organising. But still the service was second to none.

We regularly meet friends here for Sunday lunch, it's about half way between our homes. Food excellent as usual, staff lovely, friendly and they know about the food, recommended

Attentive staff and wonderful meal. The staff left you long enough to make up your mind. Meal was delivered in a timely manner and was good value for money. Staff came back to ask if everything was OK but didnt keep hassleing. Polite and courteous.

A very enjoyable meal with excellent food and friendly service. All the starters were very good but the Scotch egg was outstanding. The Sunday roasts are both good and substantial and the burgers excellent, although I would prefer French fries to thick cut chips. Another great meal in a place that must be highly recommended.

Family Sunday lunch with a choice four meats well presented. Good choice of vegetables. Service was good and hookey beer on tap. I would recommend .

Always a pleasure to eat here The beer s good, the wine is good, the staff are excellent and attentive and the food is lovely. we like sitting outside first on the lovely terrace.

We booked a table for 7.30 but arrived early and was able to go to the table straight away. Lovely food and staff gave us wonderful service.

For every visit, we've been served with exceptional and varied food with lots of tasty and interesting gluten-free options. The Kings Head is in a class of it's own.

Bookeb on line no problem, the combination of scotch egg and brioche, didn't make sense to me and when I mentioned this to the waitress she agreed. Overall the food was nice, a little slow clearing the plates though, could have understood if it was busy but it wasn't. However that said I would go back again,

Excellent service and great food. We went for Sunday lunch, and it was a vast improvement on the usual, tried plate of over-cooked meat and veg. Starters were a bit different, and excellent.

Very friendly welcome on arrival. The main restaurant area is nice and airy with tall ceilings with create a good ambience. The menu is good without having an overwhelming choice. The food is flavoursome and in general cooked to a good standard. One small niggle, the pasta tended to be a bit over cooked but was still edible. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic food as always. Lovely,very attentive staff. All hubby's meat was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. I couldn't finish my chips! Only gripe was hubby's sticky toffee pudding was dry. We did tell the waiter,as after eating here many,many times,we've never had any reason to moan. I did ask the waiter as we paid the bill if he'd passed the comments to the chef. He said 'the chef said it looks fine'! If he would have tasted it,he would also agree it was dry! But everything else is on poin!

Great pub/restaurant, very friendly, food was lovely, service was great, waitress even brought more lemon slices for our 5 year old when she saw her asking for mine from my drink!
