Great pub/restaurant, very friendly, food was lovely, service was great, waitress even brought more lemon slices for our 5 year old when she saw her asking for mine from my drink!

Great food, good service, friendly staff. Made to feel welcome, nothing to much trouble. Went there with family for Sunday lunch, everyone enjoyed there meal.

Friendly attentive staff. Prompt service. Food excellent. Attractive rural setting. My wife and I had lunch which was reasonably priced and well presented and very tasty.

Despite a short wait in the bar which allowed us to choose from several quality beers an ales, we were seated without any fuss in the restaurant. The food selection was extensive and very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly, informative and knowledgeable. It's worth waiting to discover the chef's special. The variety and quality of wine list is more than adequate. As well as excellent food and service, the atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed yet lively, with fellow diners appearing to enjoy their culinary experience as much as we did. I (We) would certainly recommend this establishment but be careful how many people you tell because it will make it harder to reserve your table at short notice.

The food and service were impeccable. The prices are reasonable and setting and facilities are of high standard. Thank you for a lovely evening !

Fantastic food as always. Lovely,very attentive staff. All hubby's meat was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. I couldn't finish my chips! Only gripe was hubby's sticky toffee pudding was dry. We did tell the waiter,as after eating here many,many times,we've never had any reason to moan. I did ask the waiter as we paid the bill if he'd passed the comments to the chef. He said 'the chef said it looks fine'! If he would have tasted it,he would also agree it was dry! But everything else is on poin!

Excellent food and great service. Would recommend if you like great food in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The rump of beef and red wine pie are a must!

Absolutely delicious, I treated my partner to his belated birthday meal and everything was perfect they even had his favourite lager which was a bonus !!

Lovely meal. Room was a bit noisy for our taste but others will consider that to be atmosphere. Soft drinks are expensive but same everywhere.

Excellent food, staff and surroundings. Can't praise our experience enough,. We will be visiting again and will continue to recommend to our family and friends.

Great food, varied and unusual with some more common dishes. Family favourite and a good choice for a special meal - popular - make sure you book a table in the restaurant, some tables in the bar when busy

Great local pub with lovely food and service. Sunday lunch is always exceptional so well worth a visit. They also have a full a la carts menu to select from.

Staff good, Sunday lunch very good as always. Desserts disappointing and a "bit plastic/pre-packed". Bar a bit raucous and echoey if you want to chat

There is a good selection on the menu plus specials, staff are very pleasant and helpful, the food was excellent and the service was quick and efficient. Prices are what you would expect for the quality of food served. The atmaophere is very relaxed and our party enjoyed a very pleasant evening

We had a most enjoyable meal at the King's Head in Napton. The restaurant was buzzing and the whole pub was full. Lovely atmosphere in the room. Looking forward to our next visit.

Disappointed with our meal, ribs very dry and tasteless, my meal was not as published on the menu and still charged the full price. We think they are trying too hard and over complicating the menu. Not sure if we will return.

Greeting was good, but after that the service was very poor. Food was fine - but nothing special. Overall disappointed with our visit. Shame really.

We love the food and so do our relatives from up north enjoy coming here to eat. Good menu selection and good selection of ales too so was looking forward to the night and the booking for 7.45 Starters were good. Meals all came out together which was good but we was left then for a long time When they did finally collect our plates they returned 15 min later to take dessert order which never materialised. When it was finally noticed the order was chased by staff and us the customer.. it was then delivered in the fragrance of the polish being used on the surrounding tables being cleaned which was very off putting.

great service fabulous food ...promptly served even though they were busy....the only down side not a great fan of dogs being allowed in the area of food being served .. other than that would recommend this pub for food

Fantastic food, staff very attentive even during busy period. Will be returning soon and trying the dinner menu as we ate lunch, summer in the beer garden should be nice as it captures the sun!

Excellent food and excellent service. Highly recommended. This is the second time we've visited but the first time on a Sunday, very busy so booking is essential. Two of our party had duck, one had the roast beef - all very good and the desserts were special - again!

The food was the best as was the service. We booked a table for 4 on a very busy Saturday night. The food arrived quickly and was well presented.

All was perfect only marred by the fact that myself and the lady I was entertaining were seated in the small bar area within spitting distance of a large dog. I appreciate the fact that it's a pub with a popular restaurant but I feel their are times when customers should be asked whether or not they are happy with seating arrangements .

Service friendly and efficient. Warm chili and red pepper bread was a lovely surprise as a nibble whilst perusing the menu. It was a shame the monkfish and prawns were not available but plenty of other good choices. Food excellent and very well presented. Ample portions and good value for the quality served. Would definitely recommend as a first rate pub restaurant.

its a very lively pub, comfortable and dogs welcomed. The food is very good with a choice of a smaller portion with some meals, great for women! The staff and manager are friendly and efficient , just the sort of place we need!

Service very good and food continues to be excellent. Perhaps would have preferred the dining room rather than the bar area but otherwise lived up to expectations. Oh do not like the online booking...asking if I want to invite friends...if I did they would have been included in the original booking!

The perfect apple wood smoked rib eye steak cooked rare. Followed by a hazelnut sponge with clotted cream. But best of all was the service, the young ladies should get 10/6.

Not the least expensive, but quality and service is worth the premium. Very friendly and polite staff and having visited four times now, have never waited too long for service.

Great food as always. The new dessert The Kings Head coconut bounty was to for😋. This is our favourite place to eat, week be back soon.

Excellent service and good quality food. We eat Sunday lunch here fairly regularly and can always be sure that you will be met with a warm welcome. Helpful, polite staff. Would recommend this restaurant.

Disappointing. I have really enjoyed the Kings Head on previous occasions, and so had been looking forward to my birthday meal here. However the scallops were over cooked, and my shukburough game meal left me regretting my decision. The creamed greens were literally green beans with cream over the top...no taste what so ever. Disappointing end to what had been a lovely birthday!

Good quality, delicious food and for a reasonable price. Found all of the staff to be professional but friendly, and very helpful. Will definitely be going back again in the near future.
