Fantastic sunday roast for myself and family - absolutely delicious with friendly bar staff and waitress team on hand. The death by chocolate dessert was certainly to die for.

Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Food was very tasty and menu varied. Atmosphere was good but a bit noisy. Overall good value

We had the set menu for lunch, excellent value and delicious food. Nice relaxed atmosphere and no pressure to rush or leave which was good.

Went for Sunday lunch. Roast was excellent with four generous slices of meat and nice selection of veg, in fact too much to allow for pud. Service was very quick and friendly.

Very attentive staff, good food and value for money... food was served at a pleasant speed (not too fast nor slow), and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.... highly recommended!

From when you enter and get your first drink, to when you leave after having a super Sunday Roast the service and staff are just excellent.

Fabulous staff and food.. The Sunday roast is delicious and the puddings are a work of art. The deconstructed Black Forest pudding is amazing. Try it.

Fabulous welcome on arrival both at the bar whilst getting initial drinks and then by waiting staff in the restaurant. The menu is refreshingly different from many pubs food and served well.

Excellent service and beautiful food. Nice atmosphere. Visit regularly for Sunday lunch and would highly recommend eating here to friends and family. Look forward to the next time

The food was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. All of the staff were delightful - very attentive and friendly with great senses of humour! The bar had a really nice vibe and it was overall a fab experience, we could not fault a thing. Thank you!

Went for anniversary evening meal. The choice on the menu was brilliant, lots to choose from. The quality of the food and service was very good. This is the 3rd time that I have been here and every time is has been really good in all respects. Highly recommend!!

Sunday lunch excellent,service a bit slow on taking desert order... Music could do with being more chilled easy listening restaurant music rather than noisey town bar type !

Food and service ,as always , of the highest standard. I would like to see a bit more variation with the real ales , or , if possible a guest bitter.

A good meal with good beer. We have eaten here on several occasions and always had good food. Booking advised as the restaurant does get quite busy at times.

My family and I including grandchildren ate at the amazing Kings Head, Napton, on three occasions during our 7 day canal holiday. Service, menu, quality, value, the whole experience was FIRST CLASS. Really good meal and catch up with a friend i haven't seen for a while. The Kings Head offer their Steak & Pudding evening on a monday which we both had and really enjoyed. Will be visiting again soon

We come to The Kings Head very regularly. This time, we brought my sister and her two friends. We were all very impressed and they were incredibly pleased at the size of the Sunday roast!

The staff are so friendly and obliging. The food is excellent. Very busy because it was Saturday night. We keep returning here and are never disappointed.

What a good pub with a great food experience. A modern menu with some classic pub grub but a portfolio of interesting and well executed plates that are just enough to be different without challenging the feint hearted. Prices slightly above average but the quality is way above that so relax... the staff are well trained and above all very friendly. In the top 10% of British food offers I've ever visited (and I've visited many)

Even though we live a fair distance away and have to drive there, we have eaten here many times, today's experience wasn't the best. We were seated in the bar area with other people seated much to close to us, very cramped. My wife's meal (Sunday roast) was excellent, but my choice beer battered cod & chips was poor. The fish was way over done to the point of the batter being almost black. Don't know whether chef has changed as the meal is usually spot on.

The food was of excellent quality and beautifully presented. The service was efficient and friendly. However, despite having booked a table well in advance, we were seated in the bar area and the noise levels were excessive and thus spoiled the overall dining experience. On our arrival at 7pm there were not many people there, so we did not envisage a noise problem, had we done so then we would not have accepted that table.

Having visited the Kings Head on a regular basis for the last few years I can honestly say that we have never had a less than good meal, usually rated as very good or excellent. Interesting menu which includes some pub standards but usually with a twist. Staff are always attentive and presentation is excellent. often busy but never too crowded.

Excellent the staff could not have done more for us they were great and the roasts lunches really amazing. Thank you for a great time.

Good food and great service on a very busy evening. This is a very well run establishment with polite and competent staff with the bonus of excellent food.

Very disappointing meal. Long wait for both starters and main courses. Carpaccio still frozen, cold chips, tough lamb. Very charming waitress doing her best under difficult conditions.

Excellent food. Great menus and a good selection of wines, real ales and spirits. Staff all very pleasant. Will be returning without a doubt. Would recommend.

Table was ready for us on arrival. Staff were very welcoming and helpful in helping the five of us choose our orders. Food came quickly and was well presented. All helped to give us a splendid lunch.

Been many times before. Food was excellent again and service was also great on a busy Friday evening. The Kings Head has a really good atmosphere, a lively buzz. All in all a really good venue for meeting friends I strongly recommend anyone to experience an evening at The Kings Head.

For the 1st time ever I have to give a 3 The food was as always fantastic, when it arrived! But afraid service let this visit down! I totally understand that The place was rammed & a huge party came in just after us but to wait 30 / 40 mins after being seated for our order to be taken & To then order more drinks & they do not actually arrive! Just a little frustrating! Fair play to the Staff as they were run of there feet! But just not enough to cope with a packed restaurant! Will be back for another fab service / meal very soon as always Cheers Craig

Lovely venue and surroundings. Parking is a headache and pulling out onto the main road as cars park so view is obstructed. Staff though are amazing and cannot be more helpful and chatty to Make your visit memorable.

Food was good as always. Service was a bit slow, but as it was Sunday we weren't in a hurry. We will be back again.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the food was excellent. - the only difficulty lay in deciding what to have! The roast was the final choice, and one that I am very pleased I made. Tender and very tasty and plenty of it. Would I recommend The King's Head? Without hesitation.

Great service and menu, very efficient whilst totally relaxing. Most enjoyable! Would certainly recommend this restaurant. Loved the espadata which I haven't seen on a menu other than in Madeira

Absolutely fantastic as always! We were the awkward family who decided to eat outside because it wasn't going to rain! Of course it started to rain and the staff were brilliant and helped us move inside. No fuss, no bother, just fab! Love this pub.

An excellent lunch menu today. Friend from South Africa was impressed by the quality and price of what was on offer. Good beer and a very drinkable South African wine .Pretty crowded for a Tuesday lunch but staff were cheerful and very busy. Have taken French visitors there in the past and they have been amazed at the quality of the food.

Lovely meal from lunch menu, brisket in bun highly rated and omelette very nice. Desserts....once again... highlight for all 4 of us. Good service and excellent value. Can't wait to go again!
