Great evening with friends. Good tasty food - the portions were very large with lots of vegetables with the two Roast Dinners - good evening with good service.

Lovely Sunday lunch, friendly service and reasonable prices! They looked after our group of 12, the food came out at the same time and the presentation was fabulous. Highly recommended!

Excellent choice of venue with top quality food in a lovely setting and great service. Myself and my wife and our son (age 10) left very happy. He said his chocolate brownie pudding was “the best”.

Service appalling. Booked table - left standing for over 10 minutes, then had to search out a member of staff to find table. Food disappointing.

Overpriced pub food masquerading as a restaurant. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Atmosphere was pleasant. They took my coat later I disovered it had been hung up next to the doorway of the pub with no security of any sort. I expect better from a restaurant.

Asked for bread rolls but only able to offer sliced bread. Not easy to catch the eye of staff to make requests including asking for the bill.

First visit - thoroughly enjoyed it! Food and service outstanding, would certainly recommend it - we'll definitely be going back. Nothing was to much trouble. One member of the party asked for an alternative veg as part of their dish and it came with no hesitation.

Nice atmosphere, good food and pleasant staff. One downside is that they allow dogs into the eating areas. When we were there we saw one dog with paws on the table and one member of serving staff petting the dogs. . Will return but only in restaurant area.

The room was comfortable and clean. We decided to dine in the restaurant and the starters were fine, however, the main meal was a great disappointment. My wife chose the burger, which was heavy and stodgy. My roast lamb was very disappointing being more of a slice meat rather than freshly cooked, the veg were adequate.

Good variety of dishes and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The amuse bouche was a nice touch. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.

One of the dishes was incorrect, therefore one member of the party was sat with no food for ages. I then had to physically go and ask for the bill myself because our table was just ignored for so long. When we got the bill, nobody came to take our payment- so again I had to ask twice for someone to come over! The service was very poor and I don’t think I’ll be rushing back. It’s not my local but you shouldn’t have to be a local to be treated any different. The amount of times I go to Coast across the road I never have this problem.

Another great night of food and drink at our local. Huge difference since the new owners took over. Great touch with the live music on a Saturday evening.

Early days on the new menu and there are some nice touches, such as a complimentary amuse bouche to start. The staff are very nice, maybe need some consistency in attention, we had already ordered our meals before we heard another table being offered the specials for the day, which had not been offered to us. Overall, good food with a good choice and the décor is a vast improvement and very pleasant.

As usual the Sunday lunch was excellent and good value. Service attentive but not obtrusive. We have been a few times, not only for Sunday Lunch, since it became under new management and have been happy every time.x

Lovely Sunday roasts - and good value too - my friends were particularly impressed with the interesting array of unlimited vegetables to accompany their chosen roasts. Thanks!

My wife and I really enjoyed our meal. The food was simple and honest, and the service friendly and reliable. The Legh Arms should stick to being a solid local pub and drop things like the amuse-bouche!

Nice ambience, comfortable venue with bags of character, attentive service and food was not bad either! Prices are bit high for pub food but otherwise OK
