Excellent food. Halibut with sweetcorn was stand out dish. Service was attentive but a little pushed at the end with a short delay serving coffee.
Really fab time - arrived a little early and had the pick of tables. Really warm welcome, the guy on front of house was attentive, really helpful and fun too. The food was amazing, loved the Carlingford oyster with elderflower and jersey cream, the mackerel, sea bream and halibut incredible too. To top that the strawberrys and cream was a real surprise and so luscious. Thank you chef. Would certainly visit again and highly recommend the Little Fish Market. JB
A very enjoyable evening, exemplary service especially when adapting the tasting menu for my specific requirements! Food excellent and very good wine list. Highly recommended.
The dinner was absolutly delishous and the different dishes very good and with surprising combinations - the oyster with elderflour grenach and cream for example.
This is my favourite Brighton restaurant. Great food, adult ambience and friendly, competent service. The table d'hôte system suite me fine. I'm happy to choose the chef and let the chef choose the menu.
From the moment Rob greeted us at the door it became one of our most memorable dining experiences. Each and every one of the five courses were outstanding. The miso glazed mackerel was out of this world, cooked to perfection with such a delicate flavor and the fish just melted in my mouth. Followed by the sea bream with it's crispy skin that was so delightful I didn't want it to end. The main dish, a trio of delights with halibut, crab ravioli and the corn and girolle mushrooms. All three were perfect and the various combinations of taste made it truly unforgettable. Then just when you think it's all over, their version of strawberries and cream was incredible - finely diced strawberries topped with a clotted cream ice cream complemented with a small crispy sponge topped with the finest strawberry sorbet. We will definitely become frequent visitors.
Wonderful dining experience, amazing food and service. Easily the best seafood I have ever tasted, wines expertly paired up with each course. I will be eating there again!
Such a wonderful place. Amazing food and the service was perfect. Relaxed but very special. Highly recommended. Oh and the wine pairing was perfect with every dish. Well worth it.
Great food, great service, friendly ambiance. The wine flight complemented the food perfectly. We are going back soon- very soon. What more can you say?
We had such a lovely evening last week. We did not know what to expect and we were bowled over. Each course came and it was superb. I ate my first ever oyster and it was delicious! Our waiter was delightful and made us feel very welcome.
AMAZING!Every course was superb but the Miso mackerel was sublime.Rob is a wonderful host and it's a lovely understated intimate setting. We wil definitely be coming back soon
The food was completely delicious; the service was really great. There are only twenty covers so the restaurant was a lovely atmosphere and all requests were catered for.
Charming and intimate venue down a quiet little Brighton side street. Cracking little pub a bit further down the road for a pre-dinner drink. Lovely atmosphere. Delicious and innovative dishes. Friendly and conscientious service. Big thumbs up.
Amazing flavours and presentation was so precise, we had the wine flight too which complimented the fabulous dishes really well and they put a candle in my husbands dessert as it was his birthday which was kind of them.
Your restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. You were very welcoming, with great service and excellent food and wine. We will be returning.
Outstanding fish dishes as part of a menu that flows effortlessly through all 5 courses. Interesting wine list too and the wine pairing is good value.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing!! Definately the best little fish restaurant in a twenty mile radius. The service is slick and genuine. Love it here
Absolutely stunning evening.....food was exquisite, service fantastic....just perfect in every way. Would highly recommend for a special night out. We particularly enjoyed the wine pairing suggestions which worked beautifully with our food.
Food and wine pairing exceeded expectatations. Service was flawless and unobtrusive. Very informative about both the wine and food. Very enjoyable experience booked on recommendation in a magazine article
A completely enjoyable experience. Exceptional service - delicious food in a chic setting. We could not have enjoyed it more and will be back - soon!
Excellent modern fish. Starter oyster and almost shashimi sea trout rate at least one Michelin. 5 courses great value at £55. Eclectic wine list. I'll be back!
Excellent fish etc. with friendly and professional service. A perfect end to a weeks holiday in Brighton. We will eat here next time. We visit Brighton.
Small restaurant with great ambiance, lovely attentive staff and great food. A set menu but happy to assist with any changes...food was excellent as well as the wine choices.
Each plate was beautifully presented and delicious. The Front of House was great, really friendly and very attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. We had a great time.
This food is a delight to the senses, interesting on the plate and subtle explosions of taste in the eating. A fish lovers paradise with optional complementary wines for each course.
Incredible food, fantastic and friendly service, delicious wine. What more can you ask for of a restaurant. Thank you for the perfect evening. We will definitely return!
Little Fish Market is my favourite restaurant in Brighton for special occasions. The food, drink and service are all excellent. I particularly like the fact that the table is yours for the evening.
Excellent food. Service friendly, knowledgeable, perhaps a little slow at times, but not excessively, time to chat between courses. Lovely restaurant for a special meal.
Food amazing as always, stand in front of house team good but the personal touch was not quite there this evening. We love this restaurant
We loved the concept of a set menu and the food was sublime we went for the wine combo which also made us try wines we might not have chosen otherwise will definitely go again!
Excellent as always. Duncan and Rob are a fabulous team that produces top quality food with service to match. Still one of our favourite restaurants in Brighton / Hove.
Amazing food and amazing service! If you are in Brighton and want a great evening with some of the best seafood in the country this is the place to go!
An amazing experience a beautifully hosted taste sensation will be talking about this resturant to all my friends. Hope to return on my next trip to Brighton.
Excellent! Food was incredibly fresh and creative. Service was terrific. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Brighton. Possibly best restaurant in area.
Always fabulous. Possibly the best food in East Sussex, however I don't go elsewhere for "special occasions" as so consistent. Wine pairing is genius, no outrageously expensive bottles.. Just right.
Really excellent. Brilliant, inventive cooking. Fish absolutely perfect. Oyster with borage was just sublime. Lovely small restaurant and delightful service which made the evening perfect.
As usual, friendly and professional service. A very enjoyable evening with tasty, imaginative fare. A bonus that you can now pay with cards. One of our favourite Brighton restaurants.
We were bowled over by the service, the informal, friendly ambiance, and the food - the Food! Every course was beautifully composed of well-chosen prime ingredients, and every one was delicious. The wine (Je t'aime mail j'ai soif", which perfectly captured my own feelings) from a beautifully tempting list, was excellent....At no point did we feel pressured to drink more, leave earlier, or talk to our server (the knowledgeable co-patron) for more than a comfortable length of time; we couldn't have felt more welcome. This is truly art. But you need to book early - with only 20 covers it gets booked up fast.
The food was by far the best our group had tasted in Brighton/Hove in a very long time! The wine flight perfectly complemented all the dishes on the tasting menu. The ambiance and excellent service added to the most perfect evening. Thanks guys we'll be back soon!
We are not short of great places to eat in Brighton and Hove but I keep coming back to the Little Fish Market. Best quality ingredients, brilliant execution and Rob is great front of house.
Great fish restaurant in Brighton, front of house really helpful and friendly and the food is great. I highly recommend it for an evening out!
An Excellant experience of great food delights, Excellant service and fine wines. The food combinations were interesting and exciting. Overall the menu offered was creative and beafifully presented and cooked. Great experience!
We had another wonderful meal at the Little Fish Restaurant, this time on a Tuesday evening. They remembered us and exactly where we'd sat on our last visit which was an impressive start to the evening. The set menu was enticing and we started with an oyster encrusted in grapefruit sorbet - utterly delicious. The rest of the 5 courses lived up to this early promise. We remain very impressed. The standard of cuisine is as good as it gets south o London and the atmosphere is very informal and relaxed without compromising on service. No complaints!
We love this little restaurant - the food was sublime the host was impeccable. The food changes frequently and was a totally different menu to the last time we came - but equally as delicious. We can't wait to return.
Excellent food well matched with wine choices and a very nice, intimate atmosphere in the restaurant. Friendly and knowledgeable table service adds to the experience. Best of all, completely unpretentious despite being a top class restaurant.
We had a great time at the little fish market. Amazing food and wine pairings and a great atmosphere. Perfect for a treat or celebratory meal!
We had excellent service and superb food. A very enjoyable evening, relaxed and unhurried. We are very much looking forward to returning for our next meal.
A bit disappointing, heard and read many good reviews, we thought the dishes lacked real flavour, and were a bit bland. Portuguese white wine was good , it was £29 for the bottle, no cheap options, on the wine list.
