The Little Fish Market

From the moment we walked into their beautiful restaurant, we were met with a wonderful ambiance, a big smile from their amazing Front of House and asked to choose our table. The service is second to none- unobtrusive but so efficient and the wine pairing was very good and complemented the truly exceptional food. We even had a touch of theatre with the second course- Rockpool. Be prepared to be wowed by the food, it was exquisite, every taste was like a culinary explosion in the mouth. We never felt rushed- in fact you have your table for the whole evening , nicely spaced tables and lots of very happy diners in this welcoming atmosphere. It felt like a personal dinner party in a big house. The front of house musty have overheard me saying it was my sons birthday and the dessert came with a birthday candle. Its all these little touches that give this great little restaurant the 5 stars on Trip Advisor it so rightly deserves. We have eaten at most of the best restaurants in Brighton but this has now become our new favourite. We will certainly be back again and again and again!!!

Excellent restaurant. The food was perfect with perfect paired wines and great service that was both attentive and laid back at the same time. The atmosphere was relaxed and not stuffy. The perfect experience.

Set menu was exquisite. Lovely small restaurant with tables sparsely organised, so doesn't feel cramped. Personal service. Wine reasonably priced - choice of house wines rapt £23. We will be back.

Didn't know what to expect as only had a "heads up" from someone in Waitrose! From walking in and finally leaving the whole experience was exceptional. The fixed menu was a delight - everything was perfectly cooked, co-ordinated and a visual treat. Decided to take the wine flight with the food and , I must say, these guys know their wine (and their food - obviously)! I've dined at quite a few high-end London venues but this one blew us away. Can't wait to go back as the menu will be constantly changing as the seasons pass.

Really good honest simple food, fantastic wines, very professional service. Great two man band! 5 course menu-genius idea. We had great night. We will remember the gazpacho soup and mackerel-star of the show. Definetly come back again! Wishing you all the success you deserve. Catering is hard work but you doing it with love and you are very clever.

Excellent service and lovely food. Wine pairing matched brilliantly. The surroundings were relaxed and despite being a small establishment, the tables well spaced which added a sense of intimacy to the experience.

This restaurant is the best in Brighton. The good was exquisite and the service was impeccable. I cannot recommend it enough. Every course was amazing.

A perfect night out - superb imaginative, but not overly quirky, food that really hit the spot. Tastebuds were tickled, tummy was happy and the service was so warm and friendly without being over-bearing. At most places where they serve a set menu you end up not enjoying one dish as much as the others - here, and at The Set, I loved every element of every dish. A really superb evening of food and fun.

What a treat! The food is just fantastic - flavourful and presented beautifully. We particularly liked the slip sole dish, however, all the courses were a joy. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - intimate because it isn't packing lots of people in, so there's space between tables and the table is yours for the evening. The service is wonderful - Rob clearly loves what he does - and reads people perfectly, ensuring they get the experience they want - there is no rush, but no delay - one of the nicest dining experiences we've had - thank you Duncan and Rob!

Dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty but a couple lacked a real depth of flavour. The chef clearly favours delicacy of flavour over high impact. Service was excellent.

I visited The Little Fish Market for the first time with my husband and it was perfect on all counts. All the courses were cooked to perfection with everything complimenting one another. It was good to try a fish I had never even heard of, I thought I knew most varieties but had never knew slip sole - wonderful. The service was excellent and all it was definitely a meal to savour and remember.

An amazing experience. Delicious food, great wine list, excellent staff who were attentive and knowledgeable. I will be back for sure as long as I manage to get a table as I see now why it is so popular!

We had an incredible night celebrating my husbands birthday - delicious food, wonderful service, lovely atmosphere. I can't recommend it enough. we had the wine pairing - a glass to go with each course so we were a bit tipsy by the end of the night! But it was perfect.

This is a top class establishment. You will eat from a set menu of five courses and appetiser. Each course was delicious. Service is knowledgable and efficient.

This has consistently been one of Brighton/Hove's very best restaurants and still is. Brilliant food, with a supremely confident and deft chef, and always a lovely quiet, local atmosphere and great, relaxed service.
