The Mint Room – Clifton

The Mint Room is an amazing place. Brilliant atmosphere and attentive staff. We had the 7 course meal as a Birthday treat and the food was outstanding. Amazing flavours. My partner had a special pudding and a happy birthday song too which was an added bonus. The only disappointing thing was that the sea food was slightly over cooked in the sea food curry.

Nothing more to say than FANTASIC. Great service and food. Soooo happy for Minty words can not describe what they do. Simply totally wonderful food!

Wow, great food and great service from courteous and lovely staff. Why hasn't anybody told me before about this little gem in Clifton that is also good value? Go find it, it is different!! Indian food with imagination and flair.

Delicious food – quality and taste, not quantity. Excellent service and surprisingly good wine, with a wide choice. The little touch at the end (mint leaves in white chocolate) was inspired. We will certainly be going back.

Great atmospheric restaurant, good quality ingredients in the food. Starter of scallops slightly too salty for me but main dish of lamb rump cooked beautifully. Staff great.

This was an excellent choice for our birthday celebrations. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Brilliant service and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Will be returning.

Would recommend. Staff attentive and it was great to find a restaurant offering more than your typical Indian. We all loved the starters and deserts, our mains were nice but my chicken was quite tough.

The food there was truly amazing! We ordered tandoori chicken tikka as a starter, chicken lababda, lamb shank and chicken makhani as main dishes. All were delicious but each dish depends on your taste, next time we wouldn't get the chicken lababda. Along with the bill we were offered white chocolate coated mint leaves and dark chocolate raisins. A must go!

Superb food, excellent staff, good engagement, very nice premises. Not cheap, but I would go again. I definitely recommend to one and all for any occasion.

Food very good, but the service was mixed. We had the tasting menu which had a good mixture. The service was a bit abrupt at times and not in keeping with the standard the restaurant aspires too.

Great food, very kind and attentive staff. A real gem in Bristol. Like Tamarind in Mayfair. Fish dishes are excellent, good wine list, the chilli, cucumber, coriander, gin n lime cocktail was wonderful.

Excellent staff and service, couldn't fault it at all. The menu was exciting and the food did not disappoint. We had a very enjoyable evening and would definitely visit again if we were not so far away!

Warm and freindly atmpshere. Both the food and service were very good,waiters knowledgable of the menu so overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening and do look forward to returning.

Delicious gourmet food with an Indian slant. Not a curry house it was genuinely fine dining. The service was exemplary but the cost was eye watering.

the food was very good, I had lemon sole followed by duck, well cooked and tasty if not very indian. others happy with their meals as well. however be warned this place is not cheap, nearly £200 for 4.

Wonderful and unusual food, great atmosphere, charming staff - what more could you ask. I would recommend the Mint Room even to those who are not keen on traditional Indian food.

Excellent. Been meaning to go there for ages but never got round to it. Lovely setting. Staff great without being intrusive, very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, and quite reasonably priced. Not your traditional curry, but all the better for it. Will definately go again

The Mint Rooms Restaurant turned out to be the best Indian food I have ever tasted, I dined with 7 members of my family and we all thoroughly enjoyed the Mint Room experience, the Staff were very accommodating which was why it all went so well.

Pleasant friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Different to other Indian restaurants, more fine dining Indian experience but totally delicious, will definitely go again to try something else.

Ambiance and staff fabulous. The food was good but expensive for what it is but well presented. The wine menu was very good and we enjoyed our wine.

Always a pleasure with great friends service and their own take on food. This is a place for a smart dinner not a quick standard curry. Excellent value.

Best dining experience in Clifton, and lovely service. The food is really excellent and very well presented. The dining room and restaurant are immaculate and well designed. The formal level of service you get at this type of restaurant is tempered with genuine human interest. It was nice to see a family with four 9very well behaved) kids blending in quite happily alongside older diners. Which I think reflects the comfortable ambience of the Mint Room

Great attention to detail, fantastic restaurant. We went for my husbands birthday and they surprised us with a dessert and a bespoke cocktail based on the ones we had enjoyed through out our meal. Food is excellent and true fine dining.

Very classy indian food served impeccably. The duck was superb as was my wife's halibut. Subtle spicing and expert cooking. Unusual and innovative menu in great surroundings

We had an excellent Sunday lunch, beautifully presented and full of very interesting flavours. The staff were very helpful, friendly and the overall service received was first class. We will definitely return to sample some of the other interesting menu choices.

Designer food in a great room. The sort of food you imagine Bollywood actors and well off Indians enjoy. They could have had slightly bigger portions, all in all very flavoursome. Will return.

It was overpriced food maskerading as fine dinning and not succeeding. To be fair the ambience was pleasant and the service attentive but I will not be back

Chose The Mint Room after searching for restaurants in Clifton on the net. It was a perfect choice, near to our hotel with a warm welcome, excellent service and delicious food. We will be sure to visit when in the area again.
