Overpriced and overrated. I would prefer a traditional Indian. The service was really good but I was not expecting the discretionary service charge to be added at the end. The food was nice but nothing exceptional

By far the best Indian cuisine we have eaten in Bristol. Not your typical post pub curry house but elevated fine dining. We will, and have, returned many times!

I keep going back as the food is delicious - spicy rather than hot - and the staff are subtly attentive. Have recommended it to lots of friends, who have all also had very good experiences in this lovely restaurant.

BEST. INDIAN. FOOD. EVER. This is NOT a curry house, this is fine dining done Indian style and it's a phenomenal success. Every plate was clean, the service was spot on and the food is insane....

Excellent! Food (we went for the taster menu) was interesting with a great mix of flavours and 2-3 exceptional courses. Good buzz in the place, the only downside being slightly too busy meaning a bit crowded and occasional slow service but I wouldn't want to significantly distract from the overal fantastic experience.

Lovely restaurant with fabulous food and a gorgeous interior. I am a fussy vegetarian and they did every thing I asked for the perfect meal. I booked The Mint Room for my Dads birthday meal and he very much enjoyed it. Thank you

Service excellent; staff friendly and engaging. Food was excellent. The manager was very accommodating by allowing us to have smaller dishes from the main course selection as part of the 'Tour of India' small plates section. And they were very generous when they realised we were getting married!

An Indian restaurant with a difference. We chose the Feast menu which was 4 courses all beautifully presented. A fusion of tastes and left us feeeling very satisfied but not bloated . We don't usually have desserts in Indian restaurants but the rose icecream and sweet were exquisite. We are looking forward to our next visit to try the taster menu. Excellent service and very friendly staff.

Lovely food and service, it's a shame the restaurant was so cold when we visited it really affected the atmosphere; I ate with my coat on.

The meal was excellent, quite different from a 'normal' curry. The halibut was well spiced and the sides were tasty. I would recommend this for a more special occasion.

Amazing food and service. Definitely will go back to sample more of the dishes. Not your usual oily greasy Indian. Great choice of wine too.

This was our first visit, prompted by an online Bristol Post article. We were warmly greeted by the staff, which set the bar for what proved to be an evening of excellent food and service. We will definitely return.

A warm welcome and attentive service with delicious food. There is a lively, contemporary buzz about the Mint room. Waiting staff were knowledgable about the menu and happy to offer advice. Food was a little slow in coming but then it was a busy night. I would definately recommend the Mint Room to others and will be back!

We couldn't believe we'd missed out on this place when we found that it had been open for 2 years. We had the Sunday special set menu - £23 per head for 4 courses. Each course was a delight - couldn't wait for the next one to arrive. None of it was the usual formulaic offerings that you get from other curry houses. The service was polite and welcoming. If you like curry, you'll love this place.

We really enjoyed the mint room - the atmosphere was great on arrival - lovely decor and warm welcome. The menu was just the right length with lots of innovative Indian dishes. We chose the seven course set menu and were not disappointed - beautiful flavours and a great wine list with suggested pairings! We will be back

Excellent food and great service. Could perhaps do with a larger selection of beers, and draft beer would be an excellent addition. A tad pricy, but this isn't your average curry.

4 diners each enjoyed really great food with good, friendly service. However one main course incorrect and left on table anyway.... and they tried to charge us for it. 'Free' glass of wine turned up on the bill. Both mistakes were very swiftly corrected. So... always check your bill.

Lovely meal, lovely atmosphere. My only criticism would be poppadams - I like my own not a small dish of broken pieces to share amongst a table of 5

An outstanding place with the most exquisite and vibrant food. This is the best Indian restaurant with spectacular food and incredible staff! The food has a contempory style with beautiful unique flavours , and attentive service. It is extremely busy , and yet, you do not feel rushed at all. We followed the suggestions of our waiter and he selected for us the tasting menu and the wines. He was brilliant! This is a real gem in Bristol ,and possibly the best Indian food I have had . I highly recommend a visit. It was our first time eating at the Mint Room ,and we will definitely go back. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.

Service and food amazing Just a minor point about our table We had a table for two just upstairs near the point where the waiters distribute the food from large trays so if felt a little bit hemmed in and busy.

Excellent service, (service charge added automatically) food very good, although given two in our party of four had several starters instead of main courses it seemed quite expensive. The fish dishes were reported as the best tasted at an Indian restaurant! This is high end cuisine, inevitably you pay for it.

This is our third visit, each time the food has been fantastic. Really great flavour combinations and very different to a typical curry house. The service felt slightly rushed it gets pretty noisy, but that didn't detract too much from the amazing food.

£35 per person for a taster menu was a massive over priced miss sale. 7 dishes not courses and nothing special for the price. We both had diarrhoea after and will never go back again.

Lovely, cheerful welcome from the manager. There was a bit of a mix up with seating as he did nit take our name so confused us with a couple rather than group of 4.The food was faultless. The decor of the restaurant is tasteful and interesting. The service was terrible. Lots of staff rushing around but unattentive. We ordered drinks...they didn't bring them had to call waiter and reorder.. We asked for water, then had to call waiter and ask again. They wouldn't leave jug of water and so had to repeatedly ask for top up. Gave us dessert menu but did come and take our order.Forgot our petit fours. Our friends had been before and had been treated like kings. We were all a bit disappointed.
