An Indian restaurant with a difference. We chose the Feast menu which was 4 courses all beautifully presented. A fusion of tastes and left us feeeling very satisfied but not bloated . We don't usually have desserts in Indian restaurants but the rose icecream and sweet were exquisite. We are looking forward to our next visit to try the taster menu. Excellent service and very friendly staff.
Lovely food and service, it's a shame the restaurant was so cold when we visited it really affected the atmosphere; I ate with my coat on.
Great food, great service. The best Indian restaurant I have ever frequented. We had the tasting menu which was worth every penny. Our thanks to the staff.
Really excellent modern Indian cooking in a great environment. The staff were very knowledgable and friendly. The 7 course tasting menu is strongly recommended and good value
The restaurant is really nice and the Indian food was delicious! I would recommend this place to people who loves Indian food and want to taste original and tasty dishes and drinks.
A warm welcome and attentive service with delicious food. There is a lively, contemporary buzz about the Mint room. Waiting staff were knowledgable about the menu and happy to offer advice. Food was a little slow in coming but then it was a busy night. I would definately recommend the Mint Room to others and will be back!
Amazing food and service. Definitely will go back to sample more of the dishes. Not your usual oily greasy Indian. Great choice of wine too.
The meal was excellent, quite different from a 'normal' curry. The halibut was well spiced and the sides were tasty. I would recommend this for a more special occasion.
The best indian restaurant in Bristol! Everytime delicious and very nice people. Located in Clifton, quiet, cozy and not far away of the Cilfton Suspension Bridge. Enjoy!
This was our first visit, prompted by an online Bristol Post article. We were warmly greeted by the staff, which set the bar for what proved to be an evening of excellent food and service. We will definitely return.
Well presented restaurant. Food very well put together ans excellent service. A very worthwhile visit and an imaginative take on Indian cuisine. Will return soon.
Wonderful I loved it and the waiters are so lovely and the food is great tasting and efficient service, will definetly come back here again !
We couldn't believe we'd missed out on this place when we found that it had been open for 2 years. We had the Sunday special set menu - £23 per head for 4 courses. Each course was a delight - couldn't wait for the next one to arrive. None of it was the usual formulaic offerings that you get from other curry houses. The service was polite and welcoming. If you like curry, you'll love this place.
Fantastic, attentive staff. Extremely polite and courteous at all times. Some are very pleasing on the eye too. Really enjoyed the food, even if just a little on the pricey side.
Lovely food and friendly staff with a relaxing atmosphere would definitely like to come back and will be telling friends hope to come back again soon
Delicious food and generally great service. Although we did feel a bit rushed to pay and leave the restaurant when we'd finished eating our meal.
The food was amazing, well presented and really tasty, also good value for money. The hospitality was great, waiters were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and great service. Could perhaps do with a larger selection of beers, and draft beer would be an excellent addition. A tad pricy, but this isn't your average curry.
Excellent service, (service charge added automatically) food very good, although given two in our party of four had several starters instead of main courses it seemed quite expensive. The fish dishes were reported as the best tasted at an Indian restaurant! This is high end cuisine, inevitably you pay for it.
Lovely meal, lovely atmosphere. My only criticism would be poppadams - I like my own not a small dish of broken pieces to share amongst a table of 5
An outstanding place with the most exquisite and vibrant food. This is the best Indian restaurant with spectacular food and incredible staff! The food has a contempory style with beautiful unique flavours , and attentive service. It is extremely busy , and yet, you do not feel rushed at all. We followed the suggestions of our waiter and he selected for us the tasting menu and the wines. He was brilliant! This is a real gem in Bristol ,and possibly the best Indian food I have had . I highly recommend a visit. It was our first time eating at the Mint Room ,and we will definitely go back. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening.
4 diners each enjoyed really great food with good, friendly service. However one main course incorrect and left on table anyway.... and they tried to charge us for it. 'Free' glass of wine turned up on the bill. Both mistakes were very swiftly corrected. So... always check your bill.
We really enjoyed the mint room - the atmosphere was great on arrival - lovely decor and warm welcome. The menu was just the right length with lots of innovative Indian dishes. We chose the seven course set menu and were not disappointed - beautiful flavours and a great wine list with suggested pairings! We will be back
Service and food amazing Just a minor point about our table We had a table for two just upstairs near the point where the waiters distribute the food from large trays so if felt a little bit hemmed in and busy.
Really good meal, lots of choice, great service and value for money. Indian food served with a twist and real skill. Also enjoyed the tamarind cocktail very different.
Really nice restaurant, actually quite a fancy one regarding Hindi kitchen , really nice cocktails too, service is quite effective as well A must try!
An excellent evening - great food & friendly, efficient service - would be very happy to recommend The Mint Room - Clifton to others & will be going again.
£35 per person for a taster menu was a massive over priced miss sale. 7 dishes not courses and nothing special for the price. We both had diarrhoea after and will never go back again.
Lovely, cheerful welcome from the manager. There was a bit of a mix up with seating as he did nit take our name so confused us with a couple rather than group of 4.The food was faultless. The decor of the restaurant is tasteful and interesting. The service was terrible. Lots of staff rushing around but unattentive. We ordered drinks...they didn't bring them had to call waiter and reorder.. We asked for water, then had to call waiter and ask again. They wouldn't leave jug of water and so had to repeatedly ask for top up. Gave us dessert menu but did come and take our order.Forgot our petit fours. Our friends had been before and had been treated like kings. We were all a bit disappointed.
This is our third visit, each time the food has been fantastic. Really great flavour combinations and very different to a typical curry house. The service felt slightly rushed it gets pretty noisy, but that didn't detract too much from the amazing food.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere . I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys high quality Indian cuisine. The little extras such as the homemade chocolate was brilliant.
Lovely restaurant, very friendly staff and amazing food ! It was indeed delicious! Absolutely recommend! We really enjoyed it and we'll go back ! Thank you !
We were informed in no uncertain terms we were 5 minutes late! Good start to a special evening! We received curt service, felt rushed as if there was a second sitting. I ended up being sick 24 hours later! Although, they did a nice birthday plate for husband.
Definitely not a 'curry house'. Very smart and serious cooking, with a few classics amidst some interesting and unusual dishes. Attentive service, nice room. Not cheap but good value.
Excellent. My partner and I have been several times before, but the neighbours who cam with us had never been to The Mint Room. They had high expectations, so we were a bit nervous, as we had chosen the venue. We need not have worried....from the warm welcome, table ready, cheerful staff, stunning presentation, great food....everything was spot on and although we were the last table to leave, there was no pressure. Portion sizes tend to be on the large size, especially with the fish dishes.......so much so that we reluctantly decided against desserts for the first time. That was probably good for the weight loss diet as desserts here are rich.
Amazing food and a great atmosphere. We had some of the signature dishes and a lovely cocktail. We were here in a Sunday night which was a bit quieter and the service impeccable.
It was our first time at The Mint Restaurant and the food was fantastic the and the service was wonderful! We will definitely will be back !
Great food, lovely atmosphere, nice staff and excellent presentation. Flavours are enhanced to a top level. We went there for a special occasion and both loved it very much - great choice. Thank you
We didn't have to wait at all and was sat down at our table as soon as we walked in!Outstanding service from the staff - very helpful and patient. The food was delicious.
Lovely food and atmosphere. 12.5% service charge is a little steep but service was good and staff are very helpful. Would definitely visit in the future
Incredible curry. Excellent customer service. Lovely menu and wine. Best curry in Bristol. Highly recommend this modern Indian restaurant, a different take on the transitional curry house that's well worth a visit
Excellent and interesting food - not too spicy, which matters to me - but layers of flavour. Delightful staff. This was now my fourth visit. I will be returning.
As a big curry fan, I have to say the quality of food is fantastic. The staff are friendly and I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Tasting menu was fantastic and the restaurant staff really attentive. There was also no issue in changing the dishes to gluten free which shows a quality oitfit
Beautiful, sophisticated, flavourful, unique Indian fine dining. This is our favourite Indian in Bristol. The restaurant decor is interesting and original with vintage bikes festooning the walls. The staff are very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A really fantastic dining experience.
Absolutely incredible food, and equally wonderful staff. Exceptionally attentive and entertaining. We all had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you again!
Premises okay - food okay - bill presented wanted £22 for bottle of tap water !!!!!!! Not funny. Challenged & reduced to $11. Challenged again - withdrawn. Left questions unanswered. Not amused! Question return.
What a fab place to eat!! Really liked the decor, the staff were so friendly and happy and the food was delicious I would love to go again soon!!
Excellent food, awesome service and overall a superb evening. We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. Will definitely return soon.
Excellent service and food - a really special place, and not overly expensive. The starters were excellent (mine was a gravadlax with mango, avocado & crab meat which was really different). Main meals just the right size and great quality ingredients. An excellent place to celebrate a family birthday today!
