The promotion which was posted as '2003' prices was just the same as the Daily Specials menu, so disappointing! Not much choice, very quiet. Have had better food at Monro

Bit disappointed on the small middle of the room table, no apple / mint sauce, but the service and food was top draw, as is the venue. Well come again, next time bigger table.

Sunday roast with family of 12 - food was great, but didn't seem to have enough staff on so service was slow and the staff looked stressed.

Great service, cozy, comfortable ambiance, with exceptional food. I don't know what more anyone would need. (P.S. My sister got the Monro burger and I got the hake, both were fantastic.)

Really nice small traditional pub with high quality Sunday roast. Staff were all really lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Had a good selection of real ales

Finer points of excellent service missing such as had to ask for spices and seasoning, cocktails came after starter. Food fried in old oil according to my taste. Waiter a bit distant. Otherwise ok.

The menu was more limited than on past visits but the food was beautifully cooked & tasty. Our starter & main course were served very quickly, as if we were being rushed. We later discovered that there was a party of 38 elsewhere in the restaurant which is probably the explanation. Although aspects of this visit were disappointing, we shall visit again because this is not typical of previous visits.

As good as ever, apart from a slip up with the bill, which was quickly corrected. There was a special 'fish and chips' deal and the batter on the fish was amazing.

We booked well in advance for my daughter's birthday as we were told the Munro was very popular. Expectation was high from the reviews but reality was low. The Sunday lunch main courses were disappointing. Inedible crackling with the pork, tough lamb and no accompaniments such as mint sauce, horseradish or apple sauce. The roast potatoes really were just boiled and hadn't really seen the inside of an oven. My daughter requested honey roasted vegetables but instead of substituting these for standard veg she got both! And as a result some was wasted. Take a cushion if you visit the chairs padding has all but disappeared. Didn't make a fuss as didn't want to spoil the day but on today's experience we won't be visiting again.

It was good but not excellent. The menu was a bit unimaginative. Service was ordinary and a bit slow. The table was much too small for six persons.

Second to none, as per usual. By far the best place to eat in Liverpool. Great beer, great food, friendly polite service and a welcoming environment. What more do you want?

Food was barely warm, the cheesecake was 2 spoonfuls and cream and that was it, no base. Staff seemed a bit Dorsey. Definitely wouldn't return, plenty of far better restaurants in Liverpool.

The food arrived super fast if you like that type of thing. Generally the roast was good if only too much veg and not enough spuds but that's my opinion. Cheesecake potion was disapppointing but good flavour. My girlfriends sticky toffee pudding was generous on the other hand. Good atmosphere to eat in. Bright and well decorated. Not too noisy. Staff polite, courteous and let you get on with meal and conversation. I'd recommend the Munro for sure.

Very friendly place and staff were excellent. Scallops were not quite cooked. Starter portions were very small. Vegetables too al dente. Fish was excellent. Broader cheese options would have been appreciated. Gins - excellent choice. Would definitely return to sample the a la carte, but not again on a Sunday.

Good overall - would go again although had to ask for butter twice for toast and bread on 2 different courses and wasn't offered any condiments/sauces. One of the mains was q bit on the small side, but was off a 3 course deal which was cheap.
