The Mustard Seed Restaurant

Went to the Mustard Seed while passing through Inverness on my birthday! My parents were visiting from our of the country and we all really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere!

Fabulous staff, great service and amazing food as always, easily the best restaurant in Inverness

The Mustard Seed is a very attractive restaurant with some lovely views of the river from the upper floor. Our main courses were venison and salmon, both were very nice. Crème brûlée and cheesecake finished off the meal. Service was friendly, yet unobtrusive. I would definitely recommend The Mustard Seed.

Great food - we had the steaks on the regular menu and they were cooked perfectly. Staff efficient .. guy behind bar was very helpful when we first arrived despite him looking very busy

Food was excellent. The server did an amazing job trying to take care of so many tables at one time. As we were finishing a table of 18 were seated - all men and it overwhelmed the staff and ambience. First time I have eaten there and the food exceeded my expectations.

Great service and food. This mustard seed never disappoints. Requested a seat at the window and they arranged it. We will be back.

The restaurant was very busy and quite loud. Food took awhile to be delivered, leading to long waits between courses. On more than one course I received a poorly cleaned plate and silverware. The food was good, but I’m not sure I would go back.

Food was great, the ribeye could have used a little bit more salt and some garlic

Enjoyed our early evening meal at the Mustard Seed. Great ambience and staff were very attentive. Food was really tasty and not too long to wait between courses.

I am a fairly regular diner and I did not enjoy the new menu choice for lunch today. Many of the starters included salad which one of the party can not take. I took the chicken and the green beans were very undercooked.

All was excellent. Just sorry we were there at the time of a noisy party! It was tricky then to hear my friends across the table. Apart from that it was a lovely visit and we will be there again soon.

Das Essen war schlecht, der Service mittelmäßig, erstaunlich, warum das Restaurant so stark frequentiert und ausgebucht ist.

We were received promptly even though early for our reservations. The staff was attentive and helpful as well. The food was very tasty!

Food was excellent and so was the service. The Mustard Seed is a well oiled machine with service at their heart. Need work on handling the volume of customers better. Felt very hurried and the staff seemd overwhelmed.

The food was lovely and the staff very friendly and attentive. Recommended place for dinner as always serves nice fresh local food.

A lovely old building, beautifully done out. A smashing menu choce, and the food choices we made were all excellently prepared and presented. Service was excellent, friendly and very quick. There was a real buzz about the place.

One of my favourite restaurants in Inverness. Food and table service is always first class. Never fails in anyway. That's why you need to book in advance to save disappointment.

Zowel voor als hoofdgerecht waren echt aan de zoute kant. (En ik kook zelf redelijk zout, dus ik heb daar niet snel commentaar op). Mijn partners hoofdgerecht was wel perfect op smaak en die was heerlijk. Verder super gezellige sfeer en hele vriendelijke bediening!

Food was well prepared and nicely plated. The the table was too small for the size of the plates, the atmosphere/environment was unpleasant, not at all relaxing, the staff tried their best and were over worked and the noise level was abominable. Even though the food was good, it is unlikely I will return or recommend this restaurant.

Quality, presentation and value of the food cannot be beaten. Service was very quick and staff are so attentive and cheerful. Just a great experience, can't wait to go back.

Nice atmosphere, very quick service… food was mediocre. Balance of flavours and quality of ingredients variable. Proteins very good; venison, salmon, cheese. Limited dessert menu.

Venison great, rib eye tough. Waitress gruff. Had 4 dining experiences in edinburgh and this was least favorite and most expensive.
