Excellent meal, sirloin steaks from the specials menu were cooked to perfection. As beef farmers it was good to hear they were sold out early in the night. Thank you for a fantastic evening celebrating our 33rd Wedding Anniversary!

Cibo molto buono e ben cucinato, ad eccezione delle verdure che erano un po’ crude. Il servizio è velocissimo ma un po’ sbrigativo e nel locale c’è tanto rumore. Bellissima la location e la vista sul fiume

Simple. It was my wife's 50th birthday. We are on vacation from Canada. She already had an amazing time on Loch Ness and then Mustard Seeds dinner of Sea Bass and Couscous topped it off. She absolutely loved the dinner!! Great plate she says. So, super happy wife, doesn't matter how my dinner was! Happy life!!

Great welcome on arrival ..seated in a small alcove .. which was a little cramped But turned out fine... as service was good. Food Venison for friend and Halibut for me. Main course satisfactory and well presented BU T the vegetables (broccoli and fine green beans) were 'very al dente' Not cooked enough, couldn't cut them up ... so disappointing. Dessert Eton Mess shared by two ... Meringue not home made.. A boring selection of desserts The restaurant deserves something more imaginative .. But overall a pleasant first visit Sally Carrick

Trainee waitress? Didn’t put in our drinks order. Seemed to take a little too long for our meals to be served, pretty sure she left our meal at the service counter for a few too many minutes, which was why our food was a bit dried out. Two different managers had to step in to look after us so that we got the bare minimum service. All the other staff looked to be great.

Our server was charming and helpful in suggesting menu items. The food was great. We had the haggis starter and the salmon and venison for our mains. Everything was well seasoned with complimentary flavors. We shared sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was delicious. Definitely lived up to the high ratings on Trip Advisor and other suggestion fora. Highly recommend The Mustard Seed for a wonderful dining experience with a view of the River Ness.

We ate here on our last visit to Inverness so there was no question about where we ate this time! Lovely food, friendly staff. We turned up early for our booking and they sat us without fuss. Will be back.

We booked our reservations weeks in advance, and travelled from Canada, for our wedding anniversary (noted in the booking). We had inattentive and rushed service, and at the end we're told (with no explanation?) we could not order dessert and offered the bill, so we then felt We were being pushed out for another customer to take our table. We then had to walk around to find someone to finally take our payment so we could leave and go elsewhere to finish our night. Our meal was also mediocre - grocery store gnocchi at best - Would NOT recommend for a special night out

Food was good, not extraordinary. Same with service. Our waitperson was very pleasant but seemed somewhat preoccupied by having to deal with a table of 12 or so people, and then having to separate the tables when they left and re-set them. Pretty space, but even though it’s adjacent to the river, you would never know it. We made this reservation largely because it was by the river, but there was no view to the outside from the dining room. Prices were reasonable.

We were visiting from the US and had heard good things about the restaurant, so decided to give it a try. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, and our server Angeline made the night exceptional. We actually ended up stopping again for lunch on our way back from north to south and had an equally great experience. We highly recommend this spot!

Lovely restaurant. Chicken dish dry and overcooked. Waitress said she would tell the chef but got no feed back. Waited 15 mins for a peroni that was sitting on a tray at the bar, informed waitress and she said 'Will I go and get it for you'. Hope if we go again things will be better.

Unfortunately the ovens broke before I got my main course. The wine and starter I picked was wonderful. There was a bit of a delay in letting me know that I would not actually be getting my main course which was unfortunate. Otherwise, it was a lovely location and I was glad I went.

Unfortunately had to send sea bass back as stone cold. Another brought which was better but still not as hot as should have been. Long time customers of Mustard Seed but this is now twice running that a cold meal has been served.

Food was ok but staff was at first way too quick. Did not even have time to look at the drinks before ordering. Starter and main served in 25 min… Staff was also busy with each other instead of busy with customers
