The Mustard Seed Restaurant

The venue is lovely and staff were really friendly and attentive. Food quality I would say was only average. We went for the lunch menu, good choices on the set menu, but its no more than average. I have heard great things about the venue, maybe there are different kitchen staff on a Monday.

Another relaxing afternoon with friends in our favorite local restaurant, food and service excellent. Would highly recommend.

Not the best lunch I’ve had. The fish was not up to their usual standard it was in my opinion not as fresh as it could be.

Visited Mustard seed many times, it was pleasant tonight but food basic and not up to the usual quality and standard. It was the early evening menu but l still usually leave praising how good it was!! Tonight was okay and nothing special!

Sauce with Lamb Kofta meatballs was far to hot. Burning mouth. Steak for second course was very poor quality and tough. Asked for mustard but never served. Partners salmon starter was not as described on menu and missing dressing

We visited The Mustard Seed to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were really well looked after and our food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed and we never felt rushed.

Limited menu, my chicken dish was a little bland but the service was very good

As always the food and service was really good. I was disappointed 😞 with the expresso martini . Very wishy washy . Felt like it came out of a can. Not up to their usual standard.

The scallop special was very good, however, the chicken in the chicken and leek pie was extremely dry and prices overall were on the high side for what we received.

Wonderful place, amazing atmosphere and lighting was really nice. Partner got the highland sirloin steak and was very pleased with it. I got the spinach and rossoto tortellini and it was gorgeous too. Definitely coming back for the food and the vibe.

The staff were very attentive and helpful however the food was not great, our starters were cold and we both ordered steak. I asked for medium which was rare. My husband asked a Staropramen beer and got served a Peroni.

Food excellent but service not up to usual standard. After 20 mins had to ask for someone to take our order. Plates and basket for bread etc not cleared until after we finished main course.

The waiter did such a good job it made the experience most enjoyable

Food was absolutely delicious as always but first server practically threw our starters into the table without even asking who was having what to eat. Second server was so polite & well mannered she more than made up for the first server.

We had a great dinner at the Mustard Seed! Our dinners tasted great, and you had great options to choose from. My only suggestions for improvement are: on busy nights when the host is also helping out with the service, you should really have someone, anyone, acknowledge a party's arrival. We waited for what seemed like 5 minutes for anyone to greet us and ask us about our reservation. Our late evening reservations also resulted in two of the specials being unavailable on the menu.

Always visit here when up in Inverness. A great place, lovely approachable staff who clearly work hard. I had mentioned a special birthday when booking, and they had noted it, big firework for dessert Excellent.

Very nice meal and very good service, really enjoyed our visit.

First and foremost the service, food and price were excellent with plenty of gluten free choices. However...the table we were assigned to on the first floor should not be a dining table at all. It was by the workstation by the corridor where everyone walks past the table either to come in or go to the toilet. We were expexted to pay the same as the people sitting by the window with a view. As well as all that, the only music we could hear was the bass. We have visited this restaurant many times.

- they said we didn’t have a reservation and questioned this site for our booking but did seat us - but wasn’t pleasant about it. The food was good not great service measure was the same. I do think they were impacted by a large tour group that was seated.

The lamb kortas weren't particularly hot and we had to send one mains dish back, which was subsequently removed from the menu. The staff were good about it and we weren't charged for that course.

Excellent service, food and ambience. All parties enjoyed their visit!
