Food and service was wonderful. I would highly recommend The Mustard Seed while visiting Inverness.

Always visit here when up in Inverness. A great place, lovely approachable staff who clearly work hard. I had mentioned a special birthday when booking, and they had noted it, big firework for dessert Excellent.

Very nice meal and very good service, really enjoyed our visit.

First and foremost the service, food and price were excellent with plenty of gluten free choices. However...the table we were assigned to on the first floor should not be a dining table at all. It was by the workstation by the corridor where everyone walks past the table either to come in or go to the toilet. We were expexted to pay the same as the people sitting by the window with a view. As well as all that, the only music we could hear was the bass. We have visited this restaurant many times.

It was a wonderful meal with a pleasant and attentive server.

- they said we didn’t have a reservation and questioned this site for our booking but did seat us - but wasn’t pleasant about it. The food was good not great service measure was the same. I do think they were impacted by a large tour group that was seated.

The lamb kortas weren't particularly hot and we had to send one mains dish back, which was subsequently removed from the menu. The staff were good about it and we weren't charged for that course.

Lovely lunch to catch up with friends. Service was wonderful. We had been booked in to a table upstairs but, on arrival, requested a downstairs table and were immediately accommodated without any fuss.

Food was ok. We all had steaks I asked for well done but still pink. My sisters was very pink. It was warm & no more ! Lipstick on 2 of the wine glasses !! Overall did not meet our expectations. This is the second visit in past while & the last visit was not very good either. Been many times in the past , was very good so I don’t know what has happened 😮 Very disappointing

Had asked for downstairs table when booking but was shown to upstairs until we pointed this out. Stained linen napkin on table. Lack of second fork for one of us. Food was good but not as great as it once was. Staff were friendly

Je suis venue en 2019 lors de mon passage à Inverness et c'était excellent, en revanche, cette deuxième fois c'était décevante! Service trop long même si on était des premiers à arriver (avec réservation), les plats sans saveur, riz du risotto cru...bref! La serveuse s'est excusée et a été adorable, mais honnêtement, ça vaut pas le prix!

Unfortunately service not up to the usual high standard. Nothing major just small things like not getting drinks till after starter. Food still great !!! Is our favourite place to go in Inverness but maybe time to try somewhere else.

A beautiful, warm welcome from the staff. Was given a lovely table by the fire and shown the specials board, which had great options but needs clearer handwriting. At college, I was a regular at the restaurant, but have not been since moving away years ago. Everything was perfect - from the menu choices to the atmosphere, and prices are reasonable. The staff seem to be genuinely fond of the restaurant and were wonderfully attentive yet unobtrusive. It is so lovely to sit and chat and eat good food whilst watching the river flow by, and I felt so relaxed and nourished.

Visited for lunch.Restaurant was busy but staff were very attentive. I had mushroom bruschetta for starter which was good but could have been hotter.My wife had feta salad which she said was excellent. For mains,I had the sea bass and my wife had the chicken and leek pie which were both very good. Only disappointment was the child’s chicken and chips and the garlic bread,the chicken was definitely of the frozen variety and did not taste like chicken and the garlic bread was half cooked. Would not put me off visiting again.

Great food and atmosphere ,staff excellent will be back again

We ordered one of the specials. Unfortunately the venison and jus did not have much taste/flavour. To make matters worse, even though service had only started 30mins earlier, there were no dauphinoise potatoes or celeriac. So much for being special, we left disappointed. The service was fine.

Reserved a table ahead. Location was good. Food was delicious.

Very disappointed, we had the rump steak which was supposed to be cooked medium but came rare in fact it was blue which spoiled the experience of a lovely night out.

Mustard Seed sat us right by a big table. Couldn’t hear a thing my partner was saying next to me. Got the steak special and it was dry. Fish was nothing special. Wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Food was good, had to wait a while for our table, service could have been better but very busy place.
