Food good and reasonably priced. Restaurant could do with a clean and spruce up-definite musty smell when we arrived at 5:45. Staff okay. Would return.

The restaurant was not very busy when we dined at 6.30 on a Friday evening but it had a pleasant atmosphere, served good quality food and provided attentive service.

Food was good once it arrived. It took a while before our menus arrived - we had to ask for them. Everything was late arriving. At one point I think they had forgotten us. The food was very tasty. I think this was a blip on what is usually a very good restaurant experience.

Very disappointing- we have been many times before and it was excellent, however this time the order was wrong, the presentation of the food was below par. The manager did reduce our bill and apologise (new members of staff), however we will not return. On the plus side the staff were very polite.

Staff were lovely, decor was fantastic and the restaurant was in a quieter part which was great as there were lots of stag and hen parties. The food was delicious, generous portions and had good flavour but could have done with a bit more heat as in chilli. However, my partner and I do enjoy hot food a lot so it might be our pallets. Good selection of drinks. Lovely to see a mix of people from couples to families with children.

Booked for dinner with my son who was visiting from London. Have been a couple of times before with large groups from work. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed great food. The service was excellent: attentive but not intrusive. Bill for starter, main, rice and a couple of beers was £50: good value. Looking forward to returning.

Great food, great value. perfect place for a family meal. Always enjoy the range of dishes available. Can't recommend highly enough. will definitely be back soon!

Lovely meal. Good choice on the menu. Service was prompt & friendly. We have eaten here a few times when visiting the races. Would certainly recommend it.

Been several times and love it every time. Great food, great service and a reasonable price. Prefer some of these meals to ones I had in Thailand!

Excellent service , very welcoming, nothing too much trouble, food excellent . Recommend Thai green curry and maccadam curry. Portion size fantastic. Lovely surroundings .

Disgusting.. wrong order, bad food, microwaved, actually left without eating the starter or main course.. of the 3 people who went only 1 managed to eat a starter, everything else went back!

We went here our oyr trip to york for our annicersary. Absolutely lovely food, very tasty and good service. Definately recommend coming here for a meal.

We had a really lovely meal, the soft shell crab was devine. The service was attentive but not intrusive. If we visit York again we'll know where to go for dinner.

Although they were helpful regarding my wife's wheat intolerance, when I mentioned that the king prawn and crab linguini was a bit tasteless they seemed uninterested. I did not mind still being charged full price but I expected some interest from the staff.

Good service, menu and food, although disappointed that apart from the Tom Yum soup which was tasty every other dish was lacking in flavour and heat.

The position of the restaurant in York was good. Nice stroll from the hotel at Clifford's Tower. It is small (but not too small!) with friendly and courteous staff, excellent food and not expensive. Will definitely go back.

Great food, but restaurant was heaving with a large party and that made the service a little bit slow. Also, the interior and the rear of the restaurant was run a bit down, as were the toilets. But if you are looking for a super thai green curry, this is the place!

Fab food, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere....an altogether great night! Will definitely return on our next visit to York. Make sure you book as it was packed and they were having to turn people away.....which is always a good sign.

Fantastic meal, the Monsoon Valley Thai wine was lovely, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. Recommend the red curry and the starter platter.

Great service friendly staff happy to help you decide what best for you. Good value for money and a good serving too. Wine and beer at a respectively good price. If visiting York again would head back for more.

Lovely atmosphere, and staff even let me choose a table at the back of the restaurant that wasn't being used so my guest and I could have some privacy. Very attentive and polite staff, and the food was delicious and in generous portions. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant, and I will use again.

Visited York for a family Christmas get together and reserved a table at the Old Siam. We weren't disappointed; the food was fantastic and the attentive staff very professional. The atmosphere was buzzing and we had a great night!

Great, authentic Thai. Lovely staff and surroundings, we asked for extra heat in one dish and it was no trouble at all. Vegetarian option as flavoursome as the fish and beef.

The Old Siam - really helpful, friendly staff. Delicious food, fresh ingredients and both familiar dishes and those that are more authentic and unusual. The set meals are a good choice if you have not eaten much Thai food before as there are a few different dishes to try- all fantastic!

Lovely evening, lovely food with excellent service. Went on a Sunday evening. Not too busy. Few pubs nearby for drinks before hand. Would visit again.

Always a stellar craic, this place never disappoints. They provide great service and great food in a cozy and clean environment, especially awesome is that amazing Red Curry!
