They forgot one of our orders, but it great place. Great value for money. Servers seem a bit in disarray asking if we wanted puddings after having our starters. And if we were all done before we both even finished our meal.

Lovely evening spent with friends. Good great. Wine awesome. Staff friendly & cheerful.

Sunday lunch - We visited The Old Thatch pre pandemic when they were running a carvery, the food was fantastic. A change of ownership hasn't impressed me. The pub was very quiet. Our drinks were slow to arrive, we then waited 50 minutes for our food. There was no clear reason for this, some excuses about a large table of 7 putting them behind. When the food finally arrived it was okay, a bit dry with little gravy. There was nothing a decent home cook couldn't do better. Of course they knocked on a 10% service charge at the end. This should be optional, especially if the service is that bad. I won't be going back.

Sat outside in a lovely sunny garden. Staff polite and welcoming. Food good quality and really hot. A joy to eat.

First time back at The Old Thatch for a long time. We were very impressed, nice atmosphere, waiting staff lovely and friendly, food arrived very promptly. Great food. Will definitely eat there again. Loved the look of the farm shop, although it was closed, but will visit it soon.

Food quality and portion size could be better, as could the accuracy of the menu descriptions. I had the pie of the day which was ok, but probably had 3 chunks of meat inside and was mostly pastry. The 10oz Sirloin Steak stated triple cooked chips but the actual chips looks like half size roast potatoes. Not bad, but not great so won't be returning in a hurry. As for the continual use of sachet sauces, I hope that venues will start to move back to bottled ketchups or ramekins rather than use terrible quality sachets because it detracts from the overall dining experience.

Service was excellent however the menu was very small with only a few choices.

No alchohol free beer. Incorrect order. Inedible chips. Poor menu.

We couldn’t believe our food was served within 15 minutes; so fast. It was delicious with a good balance of vegetables to meat. Staff so happy and friendly but not hovering. Not a cheap meal but it was delicious so we’re happy.

Lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately food wasn't up to previous standards. Menu was not as detailed on line. Automatic 10% surcharge added and a prompt for a tip when paying seemed excessive. We've had really fabulous food previously however this time was sadly not the same. Staff very friendly and covid safe, atmosphere was really lovely.

The food was very nice , quite expensive for what it was. Waitress staff chatting at bar and not paying much attention . Didn’t ask if we wanted further drinks which took forever to arrive, once we asked for them. Then they have a cheek to add 10 % service charge, so overall ok rating not great . Won’t be returning.

It was nice to be back out and able to dine in. The atmosphere was buzzy and the new decor good. The food was good but although I understand the need for a limited menu, it was a bit too limited and some meals very poor value for money. This will make us think again before coming back. We will be checking out other menus before booking again whilst in this transition period.

Under the current Covid restrictions the pub and staff did a stellar job! Having to remind the staff a second time for a lost pint of beer and the bill is totally excusable. What I couldn't understand is why my debit card was retained behind the bar in order to run a tab ?!? I can't recollect the last time my payment card was parted from me for this long in a pub - I was concerned and worried and in hindsight would pay as we went- the other option offered by your staff. Absolutely nothing against your staff they were merely doing what they were told and trained to do. We are local and walked to the pub and would hope to return.

We went for my husbands birthday and the food was very tasty and was prepared quickly and presented well. The staff were friendly and attentive.

It is a really nice venue with pleasant helpfully staff. The service was really quick and the food was excellent and presented perfectly. Definitely worth another visit. A tad pricey but having said that it was worth it!
