This place has certainly improved with the extension to the side, although we were on a table near the bar which wasn't too private - would have preferred to be in the main room. Food was generally good and plenty of it, however, my husband didn't really care for his Penne Arribiatta - he said the onions were hard and the bacon gristly. Would we go again? Yes we would but my husband won't be having Penne again.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely food and friendly staff - the best tomato garlic bread we've ever tasted. We'd booked a table for 3.00pm but as our walk around the Grane reservoir finished early, we changed the time to 1.0 clock without any problems. Children's lunch for £1 is a great deal and very family friendly

This is a lovely place, the updated décor certainly has made a big difference. My second time of dining here and again the food was really good enjoyed the experience.

Really easy to book and once we arrived we were taken to our table and perused a nice selection of starters and mains with the added bonus of specials of the day. Really lovely food, very accommodating staff and easy relaxed atmosphere - would definitely recommend.

Very reasonably priced, nice tasty food with generous portions definitely will return again with the family, great offers for kids eat for £1 on Sundays

On entering I found the hallway a little characterless, however the restaurant itself lovely, warm and welcoming. I found the staff abit like headless chickens, busy but not always getting anywhere! The restaurant was quiet, but staff struggling with all tasks. We were shown to our table quite quickly, but there was a unnecessary delay in taking our drinks order! The menu and specials are excellent, varied, and I guess the majority of diners will find something they would like. The website didn't state when the Set Menu, which shows good value, is available, we found we were in the incorrect time window, but found plenty of alternatives. The food was okay, but was cold within seconds of arriving, as all served on cold plates and dishes. I think warm crockery could increase enjoyment immensely. I will rate the pizza highly with a tasty base and sufficient topping. This venue has all the ingredients to become something special with better trained staff, warm plates and a little more personal care/attention to customers. But at reasonable prices worth a visit.

Good start, nicely done up since we last went! prompt service at the bar and we were offered a choice of gins for a g and t. When the starters came two of us had pate and were looking forward to the garlic ciabatta that came with it. When it came it was served with hard stale bread, no garlic no ciabatta! Nobody came to ask if our starters were ok, but I did tell the waitress when she cleared and she said sorry and she would tell the chef. My daughter in law had a chicken dish which came with a garlic buttER sauce only it didnt! It came with a salty beef flavoured gravy that was nearly cold, we told the guy in charge (Roger) who said it was a demi glace with butter in , still not what it said on the menu. Beef flavoured gravy has no place in this dish which was served with saffron rice. In fairness they did not charge for this meal, but would we return? NO !

Lovely. Food nice people. We love the open kitchen. Staff attentive but not in your face, have booked to go again. I had the steak (rare) and it was perfect.

Our first impressions at kerbside was good. Well decorated and lit and through the window we could see the restaurant was busy. There were plenty of staff working, so service was generally good. Oddly the more senior the staff member appeared, the more surly / less engaging they were. The restaurant is nice but missing something of the Italian feel. It's modern but plain so maybe a little stark? That said they have just had a refurb and with Xmas parties due I don't blame them for not yet having more pictures / decoration. Food was all presented well and tasty. And regular drinks orders were taken. Our party enjoyed pasta and steak dishes. We ate well but very little alcohol, coming in at about £30ph We will go back when using as a half way to meet friends.

We were seated in the bar which was a bit squashed, and noisy. Drinks took ages to arrive, I had to ask 3 times for a glass of wine, I ended up going to the bar to get it in the end. Artisan bread starter was not great, only one bread which was probably just a normal uncut loaf, I've had this starter somewhere else and it's normally a selection of breads and oils. Calzone pizza was ok but I asked to change the ham for chorizo and got charged for it. Overall the food was OK, service wasn't great - but it was a busy Saturday night so perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. 2 people, 2 courses and a couple of drinks each came to about £70.

Beautiful restaurant well presented with Lovely food at reasonable prices with prompt service and friendly staff. The pizzas are delicious and well worth their money. Best pizzas in town

Service was OK but not what we expected from the reviews, had to wait for our table which wasn't a problem but 2 other couples were seated before us even though we arrived 1st and had booked our table. Starters were lovely couldn't fault them but mains - husband ordered a medium steak from the specials that came out rare and was very fatty, I had to wait for my veg and chips and the chips weren't cooked when they eventually came out. Our waiter seemed to finish his shift while we were eating, which is fine everyone has to finish some time, but meant we had to go to the bar for our bill after waiting 10 minutes for anyone to come anywhere near us so we could ask.

Beautiful place, lovely atmosphere.. Didn't end up staying for food as my Grandson screamed the place down. So we decided to leave the other diners in peace. The boss rang me later to check if we were fine. What a lovely touch!. I am certainly going to go back there!

This was our first visit here and we were very impressed. The food was delicious! Lovely decor and very friendly service. Highly recommended. We shall be returning soon.

The restaurant has been done up really nicely, unfortunately we were seated next to a very large party who were very loud and our table was situated very closely to them, there were other empty tables so I would have preferred to have been seated elsewhere. I ordered the rump of lamb, medium and expected a nice chunky piece of lamb in a nice sauce. Unfortunately the lamb was sliced, overcooked and looked like a school dinner. I had to add salt as there wasn't much flavour. When I asked for mint sauce to add a bit of flavour the waitress didn't know what I was asking for and it never turned up, everything else was ok but not spectacular. The waiter did not ask how everything was when he took the plates away. There is a good choice of cocktails at a very good price for two and a good selection of beers and gins. I would go back again to give it a second chance and maybe stick to just pasta.

Lovely Food , lovely restaurant, will definitely be back Recommended by my boss and we were very impressed. Beef Stroganoff was amazing , The staff were wonderful

Delicious food and excellent, friendly and quick service. The room was a bit noisy but was very busy! Highly recommended, will be coming back to try the puddings (too full!).

It was our first visit to the restaurant, to celebrate my birthday. The welcome was friendly as was the service and the food was excellent. We will be returning again.

Beautiful refurbished but asked for small portion of main course as starter and got charged nearly full price. Thought that was a bit cheeky. Couldn't fault the quality of food though

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We were made welcome on arrival, friendly staff throughout the evening. The food was excellent and good intervals through courses. Prices just right. Thank you Pack.

Made a reservation last minute with my partner. Made to feel very welcome by all the staff, the food was amazing and plentiful. I can only apologise to the chef for not finishing my main as I was stuffed. Although they did put it in a tray and allow me to take the rest home with me. Will definitely visit again.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Service a little on he slow side. Food very good but the haddock was much too large a portion and therefore a little over facing

We went for valentines night. Nice friendly welcome and service. High quality food at a very good price with again great service. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nice Italian.

The food was excellent & all the staff were very attentive my only complaint was that we were sat at the high tables & the stools were not very comfortable, we will definitely visit again but will ask to sit somewhere different.
