What is there to say about The Poppadom Lounge? Nothing much except that for many in the Enfield area of far north London, this Indian restaurant is where you go to feast on poppadoms and a whole lot more. Followed by some well deserved lounging, naturally! Take your seats at The Poppadom Lounge’s Windmill Hill premises, not far from Enfield Chase station, and begin at the beginning with starters like sheek, shami or reshmi kebabs, mild specials like duck korma, hot classic specials like jalfraji, rogon and sag dishes, and dishes that are out of this world like the Cylon dishes that make use of coconut powder. There’s tandoori specials and house specialties and chef’s specialties – just about everything on the menu is special! Book now.
Delicious food and always lots of it, so much that we usually end up taking some home for the following night, so double the pleasure for the price! Always a busy restaurant with great ambience and fun but professional staff!
Great food and service, staff are very friendly and welcoming, which all adds up to an excellent meal out. Highly recommended but ensure to book as tables limited
Good atmosphere in the restaurant with great tasting food and friendly staff who are very quick. Would highly recommend going to this restaurant for all sorts of occasions.
FOOD AND SERVICE ARE EXCELLENT AND CONSISTENT. Took my partner out for mothers day and so please with my choice of restaurant judging by the happy smiles on my partners face. LOVED IT!
Not been here for some time so inital impressions were good on the decor. The restaurant was pretty busy whihc was a good sign. Service was friendly and attentive the whole evening. The menu wa somewhat different to what I am used ot with some different dishes on the menu. Only negative was the heat of the dishes wasn't made clear for novice curry eaters but fine for me. I went for the very hot methis sag naga which was delicious and to be honest, everything were ordered was flavousome and cooked very well. There was a good level of difference between the dishes unlike some places where I've eaten where many of the dishes are based on the same limited base sauce selection. After gorging ourselves on a fine meal we were absolutely stuffed and the staff kindly offered to sort out a doggy bag. Despite over ordering ( rude not to ) and adding a few drinks the bill came to about £22 a head whihc was very reasonable for the quality of food, service and surroundings. The only slight negative of the evening was the volume. Its a fairly small place and with all tables full people were speaking loudly to be heard which meant increasing volumes . As a couple of tables left things quietened down but still felt lively. Overall a very pleasant experience and would likely go back again in the not too distant future.
Really nice, family run place. We were greeted warmly on arrival and offered a choice of table locations. The service was friendly and welcoming throughout and the staff were happy to advise on the various dishes. The food came quickly and was top quality. Honestly couldn't fault it for food or service. We had a meal for two but massively over-ordered and with drinks included the bill came to a little over £40. Will definitely be going back.
A party of three with varying requirements found a variety of dishes to suit us all, murg cashew nut was enjoyed by the vegetarian, for the meat eaters a chicken japrani and lamb malabar with dishes pretty much cleared though portion size is generous. The service, and attention to detail of the staff made the evening a pleasure with hot towels to refresh. Definitely an experience to be repeated.
We had a really good meal. Shame you guys hadn't booked the table but we were lucky as they had one available why didn't you? So top marks for the restaurant and zero marks for you guys.
I was very pleased with the quality of the food, very tasty. The staff were very friendly and professional. They even offered a drink on the house at the end of the meal.
Amazing food even better service. Young guys running the place and to be honest they made the place. Told all my friends about the food and how I couldn't fault it at all
