The Queens

We managed to get four generations of my family together and we were looked after very well. The food was lovely. Staff very good and decor lovely.

Very pleasant meal with my family. Good food as usual with excellent friendly service.

The restaurant was very quiet ,however the food and service was very good.

Overall another great trip there. The salad was a but dry and couldn't catch the waiters eye to ask for any dressing. apart from that food was lovely

It was a Tuesday so really quite, we had a room to our self's but it didn't feel strange, made the birthday meal even more special. Food was amazing too great value. Music is always lovely and chilled out, reminds us of the chill bars in Ibiza

It is a really lovely place. Immaculately clean and decorated beautifully. We had lunch there and it was delicious. Staff were polite and very friendly. Booking again on an evening to try an evening meal there. Would recommend it .

Good food and friendly staff. We went for Valentine’s Day and had a special menu. It wasn’t too busy. The ambience was quiet and relaxing. The food was tasty and quite wholesome. Service however was rather slow. Seemed to be only 3 staff working. We have booked again for a family Sunday lunch.

Waited over one hour for the starter to arrive after being told there was a ten minute delay, food was ok but nothing special for the price

Lovely setting, greeted as we arrived through the door and shown to our table. Great choice of food, excellent quality and value. We will re book when we meet up in a month without doubt.

Good food , drinks order a little slow , no lamb on the menu disappointed as it was on the online menu . Overall experience very good . Would recommend to friends

The Food and service were both very good but it was very cool inside! Definitely needed more heating to be comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

The restaurant was very quite even taking in count it's just after Christmas. It was cold in there with no atmosphere. One member of staff was over friendly. I ordered rump steak when it came out it was for like a fillet although it was perfectly cooked. No wine menu was offered. No background music was on and we did hear some dogs around. Will not be back.

Food was of good quality and reasonably priced. Service was a little slow, although polite and attentive. The room was a bit cool - problems with central heating. Overall a very enjoyable Saturday lunch.

Food was generally very good, limited menu for New Years Day - fair enough - but well cooked, attractively presented, generous portions and hot. So all good, pretty much, though Pate starter that two had slightly disappointed, but minor nitpicking really. Service efficient and friendly too. Restaurant nicely presented. Slight drawbacks just pretty quiet for a NYD - may have been busier earlier, but later quiet so lack of atmosphere. And in Winter, the place is still pretty chilly - something we’ve raised before - wish they could address this.....

We came here for a family meal pre Christmas. Service was amazing and the food was of great quality. Would totally recommend this place to anyone and we will be returning.

It was ok, but I wouldn’t rush back. Waiter just dumped the menus on the table and didn’t hand them out, had to ask for the wine list. Wasn’t asked if we wanted another drink, and the food was “ok” Lacked atmosphere for Christmas Eve lunch.

It was my first time eating at the Queens. I was very impressed with the place, the service and the food. Ten out of ten. Will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely pre Christmas lunch . Chose the fixed price Xmas menu , blade of beef not available but there was an alternative which one of our party said was lovely. Battered fish was delicious but the puréed peas came as peas with bacon ? Not good for non meat eaters if it doesn't mention this on the menu. Nice atmosphere and well priced. Would return .

Visited yesterday for lunch and had the 2 course Christmas Menu, excellent food, so tasty and loved the Baked Alaska dessert. Can highly recommend Burger Night on a Monday too.

Food was great but the waiter, let’s just say he couldn’t hide his irritation with us! Friends meeting up for lunch and catching up, we wasn’t quite quick enough for him!
