Great night, great band, great food and service! Loved it!!

The racehorse is a lovely place and I will be visiting again but probably not during the festive period, it was quite busy and we had to wait for a while for our food and drinks. Other than that the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend going.

Rude service, drinks in an empty place took half an hour, had to collect our selves. Food was slow. Desserts arrived one at a time. Overall food quality was good but service very poor!

Food is good and is value for your money but the service is abysmal. It was very noisy as there was a Christmas party. Previously the noise levels have been OK.

Food was lovely but service was very slow and although we had preordered the food took ages to arrive and meals were missing. We did not get charged for the missing/late courses but it did affect the enjoyment of our Christmas work lunch.

Christmas meal with friends. Food was delicious especially the crumble. There was a wait for dessert but Paul explained that to us. Service was great Paul was lovely. Only negative was the live music it was a rock band - was far too loud even table vibrated

We booked our Christmas lunch for my 89 year old Mother as a special treat back in September. We confirmed attendance yesterday and arrived in great anticipation slightly early today and so had a drink in the bar area before being shown to our table at the allotted 2pm. We waited patiently to order our meal and were roundly ignored. There appeared to be only two serving staff on duty and to be fair they were rushed off their feet. Finally at 2:20pm we were able to order our Christmas Turkey meal. We waited and waited. Other tables after us were served their food. Still we waited. At 3:00 pm I lost patience and went to complain. Nothing, just "really sorry, please bear with me".... so we waited again. Ten minutes later our "food" arrived on cold plates!! The Yorkshire puddings were cold to the touch and conversely the roast potatoes looked like they had an argument with a flame thrower!! We refused to eat it. I left my email address with the same member of staff I had spoken to before and we walked out. We went straight to Miller and Carter in our home town of Banbury and had a BRILLIANT meal. My mother enjoyed THAT one!! So, Racehorse.... what a shame. You have lost 3 loyal customers, you will lose more unless you buck your ideas up!!

Not much choice of vegetables, that we all liked. We were sat by noisy loud speaker, and couldn't chat without difficulty. Slow service initially. Still like it there though!

Had a work’s Christmas meal here for 9 people. We were one of several large parties and so the demand was great, but since all the tables were pre-booked and ordered, it was very disappointing that service was SO slow. We had to get up and approach staff to clear our table for the next course, as well as ask for water and we had to ask for the bill several times before it was brought, and it was wrong as they didn’t deduct the deposit. They staff that were work we friendly enough but the pub just didn’t have enough staff on the manage the demand. Very disappointing.

Met with family, great food & drink , staff very efficient.

Not brilliant, some of the food that came out was cold.some orders were completely wrong. And had to wait extremely long for one plate to come slightly awkward when everyone else is halfway through theirs. Saying that, food was very tasty,good sized portions and the bill was reduced by 25%. Staff were very friendly

I booked on line but they did not have my booking. Waited for 30 minutes before anyone taking our order even drinks order was not taken and we had to ask that someone took our order. We then waited for a further 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Food was good when it did arrive

Just OK Due to the lack of staff it took quite some time to receive our food after ordering.

It was a busy evening for the staff with the run p to Christmas. The drinks order took maybe 30 minutes to arrive only just before the food order. The waiting staff were friendly but either there were insufficient waiting staff or kitchen staff. The food was excellent though

Another lovely meal. We both had Katsu chicken this week, hot and tasty .... would definitely recommend

We had a really nice meal and I had mine for free as it was my birthday so it was really cheap too!

Booked last minute for a meal (two adults, one 5yr old) to break up a long journey home on a Sunday around 4.30. It wasn't as busy as I expected it to be. We were seated straight away and the food arrived very quickly which we were happy about. The service was great and the waitress was really patient with my son and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the food and would definitely stop off here again if we're in/passing Warwick in the future.

Good atmosphere food was great had katsu curry it was delicious & dessert was fabulous only slight downside was quite a wait at the bar. But staff were friendly and helpful very pressed manager didn't have to write our order down remembered it perfectly

Table of 4 booked, hardly anyone there but drinks and food order took 20 mins to take. Drinks another 10 mins or so to receive. Waitresses constantly call you"guys". Very annoying and unnecessary. One starter took 45 mins to arrive. It's a shame the service seemed so ridiculously slow as the food was really good once we got it.

Another good night at the Racehorse. A bit on the noisy side so difficult to hear the quiz questions this week. This week I had the pork belly which was delicious and my friend had the mushroom stroganoff which she enjoyed too. Always a good meal and the staff are great

Lovely meal this week. My friend had Katsu Curry which is always a winner and I had bacon medallion which was nice. Added bonus this week .... we won the free desserts in the quiz

Food was good, service was awful. Waited ages to be asked what we wanted to eat, had to get own drinks from bar as no one asked us what we wanted. Asked for bill and waited again to receive it. Felt the whole visit we we invisible. Instead of staff standing around and chatting they should be there to look after the customers needs. I will not be visiting again.

We had a lovely meal. The staff were quick and efficient and the food was well cooked. We were also told about the new app that the restaurant is now using which meant that we got 20% off our bill. The six of us ate for about £70 great value for money. We will definitely be back.

Brilliant food and excellent service. Must be good because we keep going back.

Greeting OK, Attention & drinks service very good, long wait for food. Food quality good although vegetables, particularly carrots a bit underdone. Food service prompt after reminder given.

Usually go to the quiz on a Thursday but couldn't make it last week so went to the Racehorse for dinner on Tuesday instead. Great food, good service and a lovely atmosphere. The manager showed us the new menu which they were using from Wednesday so will be looking forward to trying something new next week.
