Great food, really quick service, can not fault it. Nice atmosphere.

Food this week was exceptionally good. I had hunters chicken and my friend had Katsu chicken. Both meals arrived in good time and were hot and tasty. Looking forward to the new menu next week.

Unfortunately it was Halloween, and was soooo busy with loads of children. However the meal was was very good and the waitress was and we all enjoed

Food was nice but service was slow when we first arrived and we had to go and get the waitress after waiting about fifteen minutes to order drinks. After that it was much better though and the food did come out quickly.

Food was good when came, but there were missing dishes which we had to ask for twice. Staff ok, one bloke burped loudly as he walked passed our table another speaking to another customer was chewing gum, not as professional as the price of the food would indicate!

Excellent food and good service. Had Katsu chicken this week as a change from the quiz pizza. Very tasty I can highly recommend ..... it comes with a salad which contained the usual leaves, tomato, cucumber and onion but also pomegranate, sugar snap peas and mango chunks ...... very nice. Would always recommend ..... the food last Thursday was exceptionally good.

Good food but had to ask twice for more veg with our Sunday roast. Otherwise all good.

It was ok. Meat was fine (lamb shank) the veg was poor, I think it’s frozen veg as quite tasteless.

Booked a table for a lovely meal out with our friends sat there for half an hour then had to find someone to take our order then she couldn’t understand us so we had to find another waitress to go over the order waited over 40 minutes for the starter which in fairness was nice then waited another 20 minutes for them to clear the plates another long wait for mains one of us had the mixed grill wasn’t nice at all safe to say we won’t be returning didn’t bother with dessert wanted to get home before midnight

Disorganised service (drinks came after the food and condiments a good while after that), noisy room and average food.

Our table was a bit small, was expecting a better layout, service was a bit hit and miss, drinks took an age to arrive, I had lamb shank and it very poor, small hardly any meat on it and tough, it should just fall off the bone, my wife's beef was a bit tough aswell and my daughters chicken was dry, everything else on the plate was excellent, proper roasties and a big yorkie, plenty of veg, and lovely cauliflower cheese, I had a cheesecake for pudding, couldn't really taste to gin in it, the daughters Eton mess was just mainly cream, but my wife's crumble was very nice,if the meat, which is the main event, was better and the service better, for the price we would have given it a better score, we will try the duck on the pond in long Itchington next as soon as they take bookings.

The racehorse is always fantastic. We always pre-book a table and pre-order food. The service is always fantastic and the food came out as we arrived. Great food and good pricing.

Had the quiz pizza deal this week. Pizza was hot, well cooked and very tasty. Ordered a side salad too ....... the salads have been disappointing lately but this week the bowl was full with everything that should have been included. All good 👍

Food is such good value and quality. Our third time here and will certainly be going back. Would be nice if parents with children were in a certain area so they could all play together.

Member of Staff was rude when she ordered us to move from one side of the bar to the other. The bar was about 4 deep, our table was inches from tables either side. We

Dispite the pub was very busy the food came up very quickly. Good food. Lots of birthdays, hen night so coukd be hard to hear but face to a good atmosphere.

Wet and chilly weather but had a warm welcome from staff. Very enjoyable afternoon with wonderful food and friends.

Food was good apart from the peppercorn sauce which was congealed and inedible. Unfortunately we were sat right by a door where people kept going outside for a cigarette which to be honest got really annoying after about 15 mins especially once we were eating. Would return but request to sit elsewhere.

Food was good value, although it was quite noisy so difficult to hear conversation even though it wasn't busy.

As you will have realised my friend and I eat at the racehorse most every Thursday night as we do the quiz so I review regularly .... always honestly and constructively. This week the meals were complete, very hot and very tasty. The hunters chicken was 'spot on' with just the right amount of BBQ sauce, chips were hot and crispy. My friend's Katsu curry was hot and tasty too and the salad it was served with was nice and varied and included sugar snap,peas and pomegranate seeds ..... all in all a great meal 👍😃

My friend and I ordered the quiz pizza offer and added a side order of mixed salad. Both pizzas were hot and tasty. The salad was varied but sparse - for £2.95 I would have expected the small bowl to be filled! Hopefully the salad will be better value for money next week.

Excellent Sunday roast and desserts. Booked for Christmas day. Cant wait. Keep up the good work guys.

Food was very good, and there was plenty of it but took some time to arrive, especially the desserts. Service at the bar was also slow.

Sunday Roasts were great. Tables could do with a bit of jigging around. Some are close to kitchen doors & very loud. But staff were great, friendly & efficient. Can’t wait to go back.
