Lovely country pub, serving home cooked food. I recommended the lasagna.

A great restaurant with a lovely family atmosphere - thoroughly recommended!

Greeted at the entrance very good Waited a while for staff to take order Needed more gravy had to go up and ask But it did say short staff by the door Sunday lunch was lovely

Have not visited the red lion since covid lockdown, was really impressed signs stated that they were short staffed and there would be delay. But we didn’t find this at all really quick service, food portions were very generous and food was very tasty and hot! Will be visiting again very soon! Thank you

Service was a tad slow but the girls serving were friendly and the food was delicious

Enjoyed our meal. We enjoy coming here as we came a few weeks before. We enjoy the grounds of the pub. The staff are very friendly and really helpful

All had a lovely meal only boet down is the choices of beer didn't do John Smith's or Worthington or anything that tastes like that so only had one drink meal and left whereas other times we would off had desserts and a few more drinks.

Sharna was so helpful, food was second to none and plentiful! Had a lovely time felt unrushed and covid safe thanks to there strict cleaning great screen deciders between tables. Was nice to get out and see such a vast vegetarian menu & plenty of choice for my fussy teens. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to eat here again. Not cheep but you get what you pay for & this was worth every penny. Thanks you.

Lovely! Food was delicious. They are working with a reduced menu but it was a good selection and cooked well. Social distancing measures were well thought out and staff were all really nice. Well done!

Limited menu which we were unaware of until we sat down... Wanted pizza not on the menu also side garlic bread was rock hard and no taste, didn't see waitress at all until we had finished so couldn't say anything normally when I go out to eat waitress normally comes while eating asking if everything OK but not this time

Food really good, service excellent but it was quite cold in the pub.

Normally really nice but service was very slow had to ask for someone to take our order then waited for main course then had to ask for pudding menu 3 of us had Sunday dinner and so did the children the beef was tough the children couldn’t eat it damp on our plates and pork was dry to will still try again putting it down to a blip

We have always liked the red lion, good service, good food

It was fairly busy but the service time was fairly long and when my steak arrived whilst it looked very good and was cooked well it simply had no taste/flavour and was quite chewy. The staff responded with a reduction on the bill but as it was our first time to the restaurant it would be fair to say they could have done better. I would go again to give it another try as the pub had a nice feel about it.

Food was lovely, very hot and tasty. Staff were good but would have liked someone to come and check we had everything we needed and kept us up to date with what appeared to be a very long waiting time for our food. We had to ask for someone to take our order and check what was happening with our food. One desert was missed, but kindly taken off the bill. On top of that we had someone else's drinks added onto our bill, which was luckily checked and removed. Given that we were a party of 13 someone should have been allocated to specifically look after our table. Having said all that, it hasn't put me off, I have used the Red Lion on a number of occasion and I will be back but maybe not with such a big party of people.

Great service and welcome, just a bit cold inside though we felt no heating seemed to be on.
