Great food friendly staff value for money breakfast and Sunday dinner

Sunday lunch was lovely, needed a bigger plate for the amount that was served!

Food was good just service was slow. And very noisy.

Good food, good service and a great garden for the kids. Altogether an excellent afternoon, thanks.

We had our sit down wedding day here 30 years ago so many special memories of this pub, we came a few weeks ago and had s meal which was lovely, then my husbands mum passed away so we decided to have a small wake here after the funeral where we had buffet food, this again was excellent and good value for money, yesterday we had sunday lunch again lovely. The pub as excellent facilities for children outside and a lovely seating area next to the canal for a relaxing afternoon. If the weather is good its perfect and well worth a visit anytime of the week.

Initial drinks and starter were good however both main courses came and were a very poor standard. We approached the manager and explained the steaks were cooked incorrectly and could not be eaten, no apology given instead we were asked ‘what do you want me to do?’ then he took one steak away and said I will cook it a bit more. The other steak that was over cooked could not be rectified therefore we ended our evening early and decided to not eat either main course and leave.

Went for Sunday lunch the beef wasn't that good. Veg was undercooked. Pudding was ok. Nice inside and outside though. Give it four out of six.

Lovely meal, staff very accommodating too. Enjoyable Sunday dining. Tasty vegetarian options available and vegetarian gravy provided without the need to request it! Refurbishment looks great too!
