Excellent burgers as always. A great range of beers. Superb, friendly service. We've been going to the Rockstone for a number of years, and the quality of food never disappoints.

Had a great time like always and for sure will be returning. Looking forward to seeing new items on the menu throughout the summer months

The food here is amazing, the flavours that are mixed together are well thought about and go well together . The burgers are by far the best you wil taste.

Fantastic venue, fab range of burgers/food offering something a bit different. Very good portion sizes. Specials board is great. Definitely value for money. One of my favourite pubs in the city.

Service was very professional and friendly. There was a lot of customer hustle and bustle next to our table as it was very busy that day, I suspect this is mainly due to it being the rum festival and a Saturday evening. The food was generally very nice. However I probably wouldn't go for the Charlie and the Chorizo factory burger again purely because the Belgian waffle bun that it came in was far too sweet to be part of the main course, I would have preferred a brioche bun although this is down to personal preference, I appreciate that they were putting a fresh twist on a classic burger option. All in all a fun and enjoyable evening with good service and food. Would visit again.

I cannot fault this place! Even during Rum Festival when they're suuuuper busy, the staff are always lovely and the food is unbeatable. Such an amazing vegan variety menu also, 100% grateful to have this 5 minutes walking distance from my house. Thank you guys :)

Arrived early - seated immediately- food amazing and cooked to order perfectly- staff brilliant and couldn't be more helpful. If you like a burger definitely give this place a go :))

The very best burgers bar non. Great local atmosphere. Food is served quickly and nothing is to much trouble for the staff. Extensive menu but not a place to take a vegetarian it's a waste.

Another great meal at the Rockstone. I had the gluten free roll and my friend Oscar had the brioche. Excellent quality beef burgers chosen from the menu which has a wide selection of imaginative recipes of various burgers. Our mate Sam is veggie and had the bitch peas which he recommended as a lighter bite nice one Rocky

Great food and friendly service as usual. It was the Tuesday 2 burgers for £22 deal when we visited so really good value for their very big burgers.

Incredible food which was very high quality and absolutely packed with flavour. Lovely atmosphere, busy but everybody was very friendly. Far more interesting beers and spirits than most. Great to see great quality local beers and spirits options too!

Great little pub with amazing burger menu and friendly helpful staff. They even managed to control a 15 man stag-do without it interfering with the other diners meals. Will go again.

Huge, delicious, quirky burgers. Pork belly side really tasty. Good beers. Make sure you are hungry when you go! Probably best place in Southampton for burgers, but they're not cheap.

The food was really nice and the burgers definitely make you full. The service was really good as well as the prices being fair priced and worth the trip. Can't wait to come back.

Awesome setting, awesome burgers and awesome service. We are vegan and our burgers were just as big and impressive as the non vegan ones we saw others having. Absolutely incredible. Can't wait to take my other vegan friends back there :)

Big fan of burgers and grills generally, went to The Rockstone for lunch with some friends. Friendly staff, nice environment, and an awesome selection of drinks. The menu was decent, and there are Vegetarian/Vegan options available also. Ordered 'the Classic' burger along with an additional portion of sweet potato fries. Firstly, it is worth noting that the burgers are 10oz. To many people under 50 in the UK this measurement is, for need of stressing the point to the entire industry outside of the USA, fucking useless. This was highlighted by the fact I saw a guy who was worried about the size of the burger an ordered a 'double' burger. To put this into perspective for those still unsure of the size of 10oz, that is MORE than a half pounder, (1oz is 28.3g, so 10oz is 283g), so hilarity ensued on the arrival of his 1.25lb burger. Once my burger arrived, with a fairly decent portion of fries and a side salad I was able to tuck in. You are given the option of having your burger cooked medium rare here, which is 'normally' a good sign of quality ground beef (would assume chuck/premium steak mix). The burger is served in a brioche bun which is nice, and has a decent selection of garnishes, though overall the flavour was pretty sub-standard. While beef can hold a strong peppering, it felt like that it was entirely relying on the seasoning to carry the flavour so much so that it was actually borderline 'spicy' hot from the amount of pepper it carried, behind the seasoning the meat itself tasted like cheap mince, no real bite to it and was a little too crumbly, which is a total thumbs down. My second glance over to the guy with the double burger I again noted that he ended up only eating half a single patty and it wasn't because he was not hungry. The fries weren't anything to shout about but were nicely seasoned, not the tastiest, not the worst. The sweet potato fries were mediocre however, crispy but rather bland. (Hint: for tasty sweet potato fries, season with paprika, cumin, and a light pinch of cinnamon + salt to taste) Overall it wasn't too bad as I did eat the whole lot and the meal itself is nicely presented, though there is no dodging the fact that aside from a nicely designed menu, there was nothing outstanding about the food at all which is disappointing considering the price. As someone who actively cooks, I can not recommend eating here, especially when a standard greaser (of which there are many within 1-5minutes walk) will likely sell a tastier burger meal at 1/3 the price. Certainly worth stopping in for a drink however.

The food was great as always, I had the Korean style burger. The beer selection is huge (and very good). Definitely would recommend to anyone.

This was not our first trip to the Rockstone, and I'm certain it won't be our last! Good ales, and the food was as good as it ever is - gone home feeling full and happy, thank you Team Rockstone! :-)

The burgers were amazing. It seems pricey at first but they are very much worth it for the money. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly too.

Went last night as a family of 3 and had excellent food and perfect service. I highly recommend the salad and the black garlic burger. Perfection in a bun.

This is quite an unassuming pub until you go inside and you encounter a mixture of rock, locally sourced beers and ciders and the mother of all big booty burgers

The Rockstone is my favourite place to eat and drink in Southampton. Brilliant beer selection and amazing food, especially for vegetarians and vegans. The staff are great too and it's always worth looking out for their special events

Great food and value for money, if you're looking for a large meal with a myriad of flavours, then this is the place for you!! There's a pay and display car park down the road as parking is very limited

I went with 2 friends for lunch the first day of the beer festival. We all felt the bartender wasn't friendly nor helpful at all, the beer I had was good but the beef burger was very badly over cooked and for the price I paid (18.60 for the burger and a 1/3 pint beer) I feel it should have been way better. I don't think I will go back, Chalk Valley or 7 Bone are way better options for good burgers and nice and helpful staff!

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere - I will definitely be going back! The portions were huge, as was the choice of beer, and despite being a meat-eater I went for a vegan burger and did not regret it at all.

Original table reserved was a little small for 6 but they moved us without fuss. Food - well up there with the best burgers I've ever eaten. Dessert was bit disappointing cheesecakes were nice but really heavy texture which is not what you need after eating half a cow. Something a bit lighter would have finished the meal off a treat. Over all - great pub.

food is ok but the venue is too small inside; very few tables and felt cramped on a table directly in front of the ladies toilets

Super helpful website for making reservations. Made a reservation at The Rockstone for 5 with minimal effort and accommodated us when we were late! Fantastic :)
