A fantastic Sunday lunch. Great food and extremely efficient service considering how busy it was. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The pork belly roast, sticky toffee pudding and flourless chocolate cake were all excellent. The kids roast dinner for £5 are brilliant value for money.

Lovely venue, fantastic staff, glorious ambiance, baby friendly, spacious & delicious food. Well worth a FEW visits. Only problem was parking but that is a common problem in and around London.

I really enjoy the new menu, the attention to details, flavour and presentation of the dishes. Also they have a good range of beers both local and national which change regularly. Worth a visit, two or more…

Really nice pub, warm and welcoming, not pretentious in the slightest, and comfy sofas to sink into. Food was amazing (as was the selection of wines). Would recommend this pub - I know I'll be going back again!

I hadn't been to the Rosendale in years, but it was great! We ordered starters and mains and everything was delicious. They give a decent portion too! A great local pub.

Food was excellent, service was poor, our waitress barely served us, not even sure who our waitress was due to having to ask any and every waitress for meals and drinks, we asked for a Coke which took 9min to arrived

Overall an enjoyable evening despite some poor service and variable food. My partner's starter of crayfish and mackerel was pretty average (she left most of it, and it didn't look very appetising), while my leek and potato soup was too salty. However, our mains more than made up for it. My partner's ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I had the chicken pie with mash (one of the specials), which was delicious and very filling. We also had some sides: the green salad was so-so (how can dressing taste so bland?) but the mixed vegetables were beautifully tender, and the chips were great. The kids' food was of a decent standard, particularly my son's burger, which he wolfed down (my daughter had the pizza). Portions were generous and we didn't have room for dessert. Unfortunately, the service wasn't always up to scratch TBH. One of the waitresses couldn't have been more helpful (actually without her the meal could have been a disaster) but the others just didn't seem interested (sorry, but that's the truth). I've been a waiter myself and I know it's not fun, but this could have spoilt our evening and that would have been a shame, especially as we were there to celebrate a birthday. The only other negative was my glass of Chilean sauvignon blanc, which I left half finished. They've got a really well-stocked bar, and it's not cheap, so there's no excuse to be serving such poor-quality wine. Would we return? Definitely, it's a beautiful venue and the food is good value (mostly). However, I hope the service, wine and starters are better next time.

Good Sunday dinner, good service and very family friendly. Only very slight negative was that two of the side dishes we ordered didn't arrive and we had to chase them up. But really that was minor and the staff/service was great! Will go back.

We were in a hurry because we were going to a concert and unfortunately the service was very slow and a bit chaotic because they had a huge wedding party to cope with. However, the food was very good.

The food was very average..staff friendly. The Rosendale doesn't seem to know what it is - a neighbourhood pub, a gastro pub, a restaurant - ends up falling between 3 stools.

Delicious food and very charming staff, even in the face of many small children running about. It was also half price January so the value for money was amazing.

It was much more quieter than the last time I had been in several weeks before. However, this does not detract from lovely relaxed surroundings and as usual, the food was excellent. Always nice to have these factors when re-introducing a friend back to a different Rosendale than the one she experienced 12 years ago. She was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed her meal!

The menu is simple yet balanced and varied, making it always easy to pick a winner to suit your taste and mood. Very pleasant ambiance too, with tall ceilings lending a feeling of space, yet with a social buzz creating warmth.

Great lunch for five, slightly spoiled with stone cold expressos and an incorrect bill. Lovely food though on a depressingly wet, grey afternoon. Table at 3pm missed the main lunchtime rush.
