Generally good food and atmosphere but children's food came at least 10mins before adults food and a burger ordered medium came very well done.

Perfect antidote to a hot Friday. Lovely family meal with allergies carefully catered for. Delicious pizza and son had double pudding! We will be back!

Our food was very late and no-one came to apologise before it eventually turned up. Lacklustre gravy. Potatoes were good though!

Very enjoyable, relaxed Sunday lunch. Traditional roasts washed down with English Mimosa cocktails - even perfect summer weather (how did they manage that?). Garden packed with groups of families and friends all with the obligatory rugrat. Fantastic play area to amuse them. Will be back...

Lovely Sunday dinner, service was pretty good considering it was so busy, the gardens are ideal for people with kids and cateers for all ages. The only downfall was the entrance to the garden from the pub was closed and there was no outdoor table service due to staff shortage, which is why I scored a 4

Great as always! Had quite a large table and some people were delayed by 25 minutes- not a problem and we were all able to order and eat on time.

We last visited the Rosendale two weeks earlier and came back with a larger party. Booked table and high-chair in advance which was wise for a busy Sunday lunchtime. Delicious Roast Chicken - gargantuan portions, Roast Beef and the famous burger were preceded by a lovely sharing platter of flat breads and tasty dips. Happy, helpful staff and a great cheerful chattery buzz in main dining room. Other tables filled with family groups of all generations. Highly recommended.

Service was a little too slow. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. Table was 15 mins late which was disappointing. Food was delicious though and the waitress was lovely. Also they opened a bar tab for us which they said they said would be transferred to our table hit wasn't which caused a issue as we were trying to leave and had to repay - just didn't seem very well organised.

Service was generally good, considering how busy it was. The food was nice and mostly well-cooked although the green veg were a little under-cooked. We enjoyed the bustling family atmosphere and were pleased to be able to sit in the bar to finish our drinks afterwards as the table was required again.

Excellent Sunday lunch! Meat was very tasty, an enormous Yorkshire pudding. Excellent vegetables. Very good, polite and prompt service. Only downside is that the room is "loud". Could do with curtains to absorb the noise.

Pub was very, very noisy. Service was excellent. Food was ok, we'd give it 7/10. We were asked how we wanted the burger cooked - requested medium rare but was very well done. Roast belly pork was too tough to eat. Everything else was really nice. Toilets, umm........

Great pub restaurant with good value food and drink in a friendly and relaxed setting. I've been a few times and continue to go back because I know I'll have a good time. If going Saturday or Sunday lunch times it is worth booking a few days in advance, but they will often be able to accommodate large parties (10+).

Excellent Easter Sunday lunch. Staff very friendly and service was prompt . The range and quality of the veg was impressive and the portions were huge. (You might want to ask for a steak knife to cut the lamb if still on the menu as it is thick cut.) Yummy. Didn't really have room for the sticky toffee pudding but managed to tuck it away somewhere. Lots of families enjoying Easter Sunday together. Nice.

Good food and service, especially the starters. Not a massive choice but good selection available. One of our party had the special of lamb tagine and thought it was a bit bland.

The lady who helped us switch tables (we had a dog and I didn't mention when booking) was very friendly and efficient and the waitress who took our order very professional and friendly. Overall it was a good experience and I enjoyed my veggie roast - however, my friend's lamb was tough and unpleasant and my husband said that his beef was average. The complaint about the lamb was dealt with very well but the team were at times difficult to get hold off and we had to call them over rather than have them ask us if we wanted more drinks etc. I would go again but I've had better experiences there.

food good, though charging £3 for a small bowl of olives seems over the top. service ok: place wasn't full but we seemed to have to do a lot of trying to catch someone's eye, which was slightly irritating. resent having 12.5% service included on the bill, then having to go through the rigmarole of discussing, removing & then putting our choice of tip, in cash, because there didn't seem to be an option on card reader. won't go again.

Good service. Decent food. Decent value. Pity they've rearranged the inside since I was last in there - the best spots have been given over the some settees and single tables, rather than rows of dining tables so the dinners can enjoy the light.

Lovely place, good food and great service. Nice balance where both adults and children are catered for. Point lost was only for the decorate your own fairy cakes from the children's menu. Brilliant idea but the cake were beyond dry and was inedible. All other food was good though.

Food and service are always good here. I had the salmon with brown rice as a healthier alternative to a Sunday roast, and it was lovely.

The food was great and the staff friendly. This place is really popular and definitely worth booking beforehand. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet Sunday afternoon roast, it was full of families with screaming children.

Staff really efficient and friendly and great that it is a dog friendly gastro pub - immediately asked me if my dog wanted a treat Lovely airy and light space - tables not too close together good atmosphere Only disappointment was that the batter on my fish was a bit greasy but the fish was fresh and overally a good experience will go again
