Absolutely amazing pub! Fabulous atmosphere and dining experience. We travel from St Albans to Burford to especially eat at this pub! Just love it!!

Excellent pie let down by reheated chips which were bitty , onions rings hadn’t got enough batter on them very greasy, no one did a check back after the food came out , but asked at the end !! Someone on the next table kept clearing his throat very annoying!!

Very friendly pub. Limited parking, but free car park 2 minutes walk away. Great pies, kids food and good selection of drinks. Good value and worth going, but book ahead.

Pie was great, veg and gravy could have been hotter, mash portion rather small. Fish dish went down well.

We visited Burford for the night a chose The Royal Oak for dinner as we had seen the great reviews online. This lovely little pub didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, we both had pie. The staff are friendly and chatty as were the locals, we felt very welcome. Will definitely be returning. Thanks again :)
