Meal was lovely although should have got pensioners menu as was too much on plate for me. Staff were lovely and very attentive to my husband & I.

we had the seniors menu, bit disappointed that the mushroom starter was frozen mushrooms, would rather had less mushrooms but fresh ones. The fish & chips were lovely, nice thick piece of fish, side salad lettuce could have been fresher. Desserts were generous portions. Looking forward to trying more dishes next visit.

This is my second visit to The Royal Oak, on both occasion the food has been very enjoyable in taste and presentation. Great value for the money. Staff very friendly. I will definitely go back. Well laid out also nice and clean.

Arrived about 10 minutes early and was seated straight away, Staff chatty and friendly, asked if everything was fine with our meal which it was. Definitely be Back

Excellent food huge portions does what it says on the tin

staff very polite food was fab been many times to royal oak always first class

Main courses were really good, however didn’t have any of the desserts we wanted, no bananas for the banana split, no strawberries for the sundae and no cheesecake, so settled on fudge cake which was nuked to an inch of its life and a chocolate sundae which was ok. Overall staff friendly but were more interested in the darts game that was playing in the restaurant area which was a bit surprising when folk are trying to have a quiet meal. Definitely be back for the food maybe just not a Monday when it’s darts night .

If you like a no fuss carvery, this is the place. Great service, beautifully tasty meal and you can keep going back for more if you want. We like softer veg, it is just what we wanted here. Even the sprouts were lovely. Would def go back.

Always get a good meal at the Royal Oak and great value for money.

A first time visit, but definitely not the last. Service was friendly, speedy and polite. The food was excellent, the quality of options at the carvery were superb, and the option to refill your plate made it exceptionally good value. The only problem that I could possibly find was moving after such a fabulous feed!

We were a group of seven people and every person loved their meals good size portions and a fabulous menu, the staff are attentive and helpful we had a lovely time.

Food was excellent staff were friendly and helpful restaurant was clean and inviting.

Really helpful and attentive staff good choice on menu. Felt rushed to eat our desserts though and the staff had started cleaning and there was a very strong smell of bleach you could almost taste. Not the best.
