The Ruddington Arms

Wonderful cheese soufflé as a starter! Had a vegetarian main although not vegetarian which was roasted cauliflower with chick peas and curry sauce- tasty. Couldn't eat any more but my companion had baked Alaska preceded by steak and kidney pudding - both delicious. I will return!

Lovely food, friendly service.......and soufflé fantastic! We are becoming regulars at this venue. It is great value, matching the great food. Happy to recommend this place for any age groups.

Staff and food fantastic as ever. Scallops were amazing. Very reasonable for prices. Roast pork with giant yorkshires was wonderful. Will definitely be back again

We just keep coming back here again and again, the food and the service are excellent. I have time and again been delighted with the quality and standard of the food and drink.

Really like this place. They do a wonderful Sunday lunch so tried it for breakfast. Lovely quality food and service. Would recommend for a weekend treat. Kept me going all day.

Brilliant, staff friendly and very helpful, nice restaurant area, something for everyone on the menu, food well presented and high quality. Will definitely go again and would highly recommend.

Very good - just right not too formal but classy enough to feel like a special night . Food all fresh and lovely. Definitely recommend it.

The souffle was divine. The choice of meals matched the website and so were uninspiring. There were 3 specials on the wall but these were not pointed out by the either the head waiter or waitress. Like other restaurants we were asked our drink order before we had sat down.

There were three of us and we hadn't been for a while.It was absolutely excellent. I had the liver and kidneys - totally superb. We all enjoyed the food; service was excellent. Will go back again asap.

I have been to the Ruddington Arms several times before and as always, it was lovely. I had the baked egg starter with mushrooms and truffle oil, which was really good and the oil was enough to taste but not too overpowering. I iked the spinach in the dish too. The main was the duck special which was really well seasoned with great gravy and granola which I didn't expect to care for but I actually liked the difference in texture. I had cinnamon donuts for desert which are always fabulous. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. On this occasion I brought friends visiting from London here and they were impressed too. I would always reccommend the restaurant, especially if you don't want to go into Nottingham.

A lovely meal with some outstanding tastes and flavours. The chef has put together a menu that caters for all but trust him with what maybe sounds like unusual combinations as they work wonderfully and you will be in for a treat.

The servicewas good, the staff were very attentive. The food was spot on as usual, the wife and I were very happy with our choices. And the price waspretty competitive too.

The mackerel dish was possibly the best I've ever had. Such friendly staff. Nice beer selection and congrats on being voted Best Pub in Nottingham.

A wonderful evening at The Ruddington Arms tonight. The service was great . The presentation and food was fantastic. They even came with a complimentary glass of bubbly as we were celebrating my husband retirement.!!! Would highly recommend!

We have used the Ruddington Arms a number of times now and always find the staff to be very welcoming. Their menu is diverse and, whilst there are some regular treats, it is regularly varied. The service is wonderful. Thoroughly recommended whether you are in the area or make a special journey to partake!

The food was excellent but we were brought up our mains before our starters, the wrong wine and the service was quite slow but overall experience was good. Also we were supposed to have been given a 10% discount as we were staying at the Lodge in Ruddington but was not given this.

Love the food, choice and service. Excellent soufflé, and the salt cod and the wine choices are excellent too. Also the beers were enjoyed and one of us finished with a coffee martini.

A very pleasant atmosphere. The food is excellent as always. service is always very quick and staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Comfortable seating and the bars are very light and airy. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fabulous as always! Ruddington Arms is an amazing place with food out of this world and brilliant friendly service! We would always recommend it highly. Yesterday I had booked to have the gorgeous Sunday lunch with my cousin & his partner who had travelled from Dublin. The RA did not disappoint! They were very impressed by the great experience. Good food and prompt service even though very busy. Choice of two vegetarian mains was good for one of our party of five. Would revisit.

As usual we had a lovely Sunday lunch with everyone enjoying their choice. Not all of us chose a Sunday roast and it's good to have delicious alternatives.

We had to wait an hour for our main course as they had forgotten our table!! Wasn't that good when it came and no apology!! we won't be returning.

Food was delivered to our table very well presented and superbly cooked the service was spot on this is a hundred percent improvment over our previous visit

Lovely food as always but really slow service tonight as really busy. We ordered bread as nibbles before starters but it never came so we asked for it to be removed from the bill and that was fine. Too many kids about making noise but they do bring in the money sonfair enough.

Visited on Friday 23rd June while staying at the Lodge. The food was great and the front of house staff were extremely accommodating. Excellent service!

Another fabulous evening out at RA. Food & service first class. New menu items added, can particularly recommend the lemon trifle!! Also, the onion rings were just sublime......

Super service & super food table for 6 all the food was excellent no complaints. Sunday lunch is so amazing with all the fresh ingredients makes it such a treat. No frozen food from this venue. Overall superb will be back very soon.

Had a lovely evening at the Ruddington Arms with old work mates. Food and service were all excellent, prices are reasonable, I would certainly recommend it.

Great Friday night atmosphere. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. All of my party enjoyed their food - empty plates all round! I do enjoy the roasted salt cod.

We experienced excellent food at very reasonable prices with friendly and efficient service in very pleasant and welcoming surroundings. We shall return at the next available opportunity.

We had a really enjoyable evening with excellent food and warm atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Would really recommend a meal here. Will go again before too long!

Booked 3 weeks in advance. Were asked to sit in the pub section. No one asked us for a drink, menu etc. We had to get staff from the restaurant area and remind them that we were around the corner in the pub area. After 3 times calling the restaurant staff, we left which was a real shame.

The restaurant setting was perfect, the staff very attentive, very pleasant & very helpful with the menu. The food was quite different in its composition but in a very well thought out & a very well presented way, absolutely delicious. In summary... PERFECT. Brian Birks
