Really lovely, as always. However the black pudding was not quite as good as usual (not quite as firm). Still far better than 99% of places to eat though. Merry Christmas

Great restaurant, great food, great staff, great atmosphere, great menu choices, great location, great beer, great access this is our go to favourite restaurant when we can’t be bothered to cook.

Poor service and far too much fat on beef dinner will not be going again not worth the money spent when I complained at the end nothing was done

The food was of a good quality that I have always experienced at the RA. Due to large parties being present we had to wait longer than usual for our food. I plan to go to try out their new pub in Bingham.

Great atmosphere, very pleasant staff and fabulous quality food. We were in a bit of a hurry because we were attending a concert in the city but everyone was courteous and helpful. Will definitely return with more time..!

Lovely menu, lovely food and very well presented. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal in a relaxed environment. Of course, the prices are reasonable too!

Had a lovely meal - went off piste and we both had a sharing platter each and it was perfect with a bottle of the Claro red. Ambience spot on and food service perfect.

What a super Christmas dinner food excellent as always, so good to have a local restaurant and pub in walking distance, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a lovely evening pleasant waitress lovely food nice wine Had to keep reminding staff for ordered drinks although there were two large parties in at the same time so understandable Definitely eat there again

The food was as usual was great a wonderful experience. Today was very busy and my only criticism would be that service was a little slow but would diffinatley return. Best food around.

Went for lunch and there was plenty of food I liked that I could choose from. Service and food were also good as was my coffee to complete my meal!

One of my favourite places to eat. We went for Sunday roast dinner, the whole family enjoyed. It has adult family feel to the place. More of a chinos and shirt rather than a jeans and t shirt.

Lovely Sunday afternoon spent with the family, food was fantastic and they couldn’t do enough. We were left to eat at leisure and everybody loved it.

Excellent meal as usual. I meet friends at the RA as very conveniently situated between Castle Donington and West Bridgford. We have been going there for a few years now and the food is always good, the staff most helpful as we take 2 ladies of 91 as they have been friends for over 70 years. Normally accessible, just today the car park was being refurbished but we managed with. Bit of help. Friendly, helpful and always a pleasure to visit.

Excellent food and friendly, knowledgable service e.g. in guiding choice of wine. The staff couldn't do enough to help. I had the haddock with poached egg and it was really delicious.

Excellent second visit- Nibbles more than enough to replace Starter- we always find a starter too much before the main course being oldies Rump Steak & Fish and chips to follow ( fish minus skin a nice touch before the batter) Only small gripe - we were on table at end of run near kitchen so busy footfall and it was quite cool because of glass doors out to rear garden being opened a bit by people probably going out for a smoke Will return but ask for table nearer front

We enjoyed a Delicious roast beef joint shared between our party of 4 with all the trimmings. Friendly service, tasty starters and puddings. Highly recommended.

The service was appalling, no menus given when seated, no offer of drinks, food took nearly an hour to come and they weren't busy had to chase drinks order no one asked how the food was, mine wasn't great most disappointed. When speaking to the waitress she said they had been busy at lunch time and were playing catch up....

Comfortable dining area. The tomato and pepper soup was great on a chilly post-football match night. Tasty mussels too. The service was nice, especially attentive to kids.

Excellent Food. Super flavours. Wonderful specials board. The range of gin and varieties of tonics is superb. There is a great selection of wines and the tasting board of beers is good fun.

Worth a trip. Friendly staff, good standard of cooking. Nice variety of items and a fair price. Balance of flavours good. Scallops tasty but not good value with only 2 small Scallops on the plate.

Best brunch food ever. A good variety, my husband likes eggs florentine and we both love the granola. I'm not a bread person but I love their granary toast.Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff.

Lovely food, polite and efficient staff, nice decor. I had the duck ham for my a starter and I enjoyed its dense, smoky flavour, cherries were an unusual ingredient but still in keeping. Fish and chips were as from the best chippy. There could be more variety in the menu as the head chef alternates between two menus, but the food is tasty and flavouresone.

Food was great but service was slow. Had to ask after waiting in the bar to see if our table was ready, the restaurarnt was empty? Bill was incorrect but after querying it was altered. Overall good, lunch was better week before however we would return.

Nice eating area and attentive staff. The food was good and excellent portion sizes. The menu was varied with meat, fish and vegetarian options. I gave it a 4 because there was a loud alarm that went off a couple of times whilst eating and a couple of the lights had large cobwebs on. We also sat next to the toilets.

Great atmosphere from the start, a real buzz in the restaurant. Friendly efficient service and the food was first class. Quality ingredients with imaginative presentation without being too ostentatious. The selection of beers & other drinks were excellent too.
