Very friendly the women who was working very helpful kind and table service was amazing! Hand sanitizer on the tables for you to use! Really thought out!

Great as usual. Not been since lock down started. But felt safe. Staff putting a lot of effort in to keep clean. And making sure that everyone was sticking to the rules. Will be there again very soon.

Nice Food in a lovely pub. However service isn't great, took 20 minutes for dessert to arrive and there were only 5 tables in at the time!

Very busy restuarant but the staff were amazing and worked extremely hard that everything ran smoothly. Terrigic food served, perfect timing brrween courses and staff totally attentive and smiling throughout. Wonderful experience which I can't wait to repeat again.

From the moment we arrived we felt valued by friendly professional staff. The food, wine and atmosphere were soothingly delightful. We shall book again.

On arrival there was a point just outside of the bar area that read please wait here to be seated. I rang the small bell but gave up after waiting a long time. We walked through The door into the bar. From here the staff were very good and friendly. A small point but worth a mention. Food was good.

Only the second day since the pubs have been able to open again and it was so nice to be out for a meal. It’s a great family friendly restaurant with a good play area in the garden for our toddler. The staff were all lovely and the food was yummy too.

My food was excellent. No complaints there, however, service was a let down, took a long time to be served, forgot part of an order and had to ask for the bill twice. Would return as good food but service was an issue.

Another lovely meal at the Unicorns Head, always great food, very child friendly and accommodating.

This looked lovely on the website, so I booked us a table. The entry space to the dining area is warm and cosy with a lovely fireplace, but the dining area was so cold that I had to keep my coat on. After a 40 minute wait for a single course (although one staff member did attempt to hurry things up), it became clear that our food was rather overdone! By this time we would have eaten anything, and in fairness they did offer to re-cook one (!) of our meals. We didn't have time for this, so we just ate what we could and left. Overall: I had high hopes, but they were quickly dashed - and you only get one chance at a first impression.

We have visited several times and enjoy it but there is always a problem with the length of time waiting for food. This particular evening the restaurant was fairly empty but there was still quite a wait. Having said that, the food was lively. If possible, the menu could have some vegan alternatives.

A busy Friday night. Staff were attentive, but it took a long time for the first round of drinks to appear. Alright after that.

Pie was lovely, but half the menu they hadn’t got and Southend fried chicken was more curry flavoured than southern fried.

Lovely food made with quality ingredients. We ate in the bar area as we had our dog with us and although there were quite a lot of people in the restaurant area it was pleasantly quiet. Will visit again even though it's not local for us.

The food was cold and we didn’t know the Carvery was finishing so it was all soggy
