A little disappointed that my booking was for 7.30pm and didn't sit down until just after 8 pm. However, we were offered complimentary drinks as a gesture for the delay and the food more than made up for the wait. Already booked again for Mother's Day

The Pub has a lovely atmosphere and the food is great and very reasonably priced, the service started brilliantly, we booked a table at 15:15 but arrived 45 mins early but was still seated and drinks were taken straight away. Then it went downhill from there, we were forgotten about, it wasn't the mail meal but we were never offered more drinks, never asked if our food was ok. We really wanted to try a pudding but they were always to busy and after waiting over 30 mins we gave up paid up and left. We would still love to come again but just hope the service gets better.

The food is great which is why this place is so popular, unfortunately due to their popularity the service levels were not as good as the food. The staff are really polite but a little slow at times. However the overall experience was good and would happily go again.

Went for a Sunday carvery, it was the busiest I’ve seen the pub in a long time. Food was great. Service was slow overall but it’s one of my favourite pubs so I will be returning.

My wife ordered sea bass. The sea bass was a tiny piece which wasn't cooked very well. I had a burger which was nice.

I had the hanging kebab. Beautiful. The whole menus appealed to me and I will defo be going back here. Only point to make is that I feel the hanging kebab just should come with a real nice salad and strips of warm pitta or something just to make it that bit more interesting and authentic

Carvery was cold, meat undercooked, Yorkshire puds were cold had to wait half an hour past our booking time. Wont be returning

Great British cozy tasteful pub, good quality food, great fire and competent staff. Highly recommend.

Pre booked a round table for 6 and we got a round table! Usually when we request one elsewhere we don’t get one. Ordered pizzas and they were delicious, possibly the best pizzas we have had ever, couldn’t not fault them at all. Only downside is 2 arrived approx 10 mins after the others so 4 of us had to start eating before the others. But nevertheless they were worth the wait! Restaurant busy so maybe that was why we had to wait. All in all, delicious! Well done and compliments to the chef.

I am not normally one to write a review however I feel on this occasion I will. Initially service was good as we were given a table to accommodate us. However,, we were left with our starter plates so I had to move that to another area out the way in order for the mains to be placed. After finishing our mains we then sat with our main plates for a good 45 mins. No one came over to ask if we wanted any dessert, coffees or more drinks which was lucky as we were talking and had gone to the bar ourselves to order more. I then had to go to a member of staff and ask for the bill in which the staff member finished her social conversation with another lady before addressing me and then responded “oh yes sorry”. The music also started to be turned up so we could hardly hear what the other side of the table were saying. All in all the food was okay but service does make you return and I think due to that we will not be returning. .

Presentation could have been better and chips were nice and brown but a little soft

Lovely food, staff were amazing when my friend did not like her dessert. Took it off the bill and replaced with a free desert to take home A+ service

Had the early bird menu- salmon roulade, steak and pizza. Very good

The food is lovely when it arrives but the staff need training. Our order came out wrong and the service is very slow. The inside and outside space is wonderful.

This is my absolute favourite restaurant and they are always so lovely and attentive, with exceptionally delicious food! Unfortunately, tonight (Thursday), didn’t live up to the usual fantastic service. Took a while to take drinks order, then food took over an hour to arrive. No one checked in with us to see whether we wanted any more drinks or if everything was ok with our meals. It was really difficult to flag anyone down as they seemed to be a bit thin on the ground this evening. Then when wanting to pay, we had to go to the bar as no one came to take payment. Overall this is the exception to the usual amazing service and experience, and it’s very much unusual, but I felt I needed to share this feedback!

Really lovely restaurant and good food! Had a hanging kebab and a steak! Both were cooked perfectly! The waitress seemed rushed off her feet but we still had great service

Very disorganized, bar not restocked regularly. Didn’t get what I ordered...this is the third visit and on each occasion they did not have the drinks we wanted and we were served wrong items

Food was really good however the service continues to be as slow as ever. It’s so disappointing. There never appears to be anyone in charge directing the staff and you wait ages to be served/seatedwhile people just walk past ignoring you. Staff are really lovely and pleasant, they just need a bit of direction.

Very pleasant evening, good choice on the menu at a reasonable price. Evening not rushed and staff attentive. Only comment from a personal viewpoint I’m not sure having pop music in the background can be annoying when you want to talk with your friends. Turn the music down a notch.

It was the first time my 2 friends had been to the Unicorn and they liked it very much. Just let down by a couple of things. When we ordered the sea bass which one of my friends had wanted, it was sold out and we had a long wait for our meals. Nevertheless, we shall come back. I usually go for lunch with 2 other friends and it was the first time I had been in the evening. The ambience was very good and our waitress was very apologetic about the sea bass.

The food was lovely when we finally got it but we were waiting ages, which put a bit of a dampener on the whole evening.

Great service, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. The home made chunky chips were lovely. My friend had the steak and stout pie which was really good.

Food good service horrendous got seated right next to the toilets and got a table that wasn’t laid properly for us but the food was great as usual after a long wait.

Very pleasantly surprised bu the Unicorns Head at Langar, good beer, good food, friendly service at a good price. A large car park and a very good atmosphere. I would have no problem in going back there again

Cannot fault the carvery, choice of 5 locally sourced meats and plenty of vegetables. Potatoes seemed to have changed for the better too!! Advice make sure you book in advance and take an empty belly with you!

Excellent carvery again, great selection of meat including lamb and generous portions. All fresh vegetables, lovely gravy. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Friendly and polite staff.

i visited the Unicorn’s head for Sunday lunch. The food was wide ranging in choice and was of excellent quality. The service was excellent. A very enjoyable dining experience

We went for the Sunday Carvery which was absolutely delicious. With a carvery sometimes the vegetables can be indifferent as they’ve been sitting for a while, but at the Unicorns Head this was definitely not the case. The choice of vegetables was vast and all cooked to perfection. We also had a vegetarian in our party who was very well catered for

Great food friendly staff and nice location. The Unicorn at Langar has a large car park with decent size spaces. Good options for veggies and children. On a Sunday they have three meat options and loads of accompaniments. Good value for the quality.

The service was very friendly, they took great care of my niece whose birthday it was. The food was great, the children's portions were huge.
