Squashed into a table for 2 in the middle of the busy restaurant and whilst staff tried to avoid knocking the table it was impossible for other customers to pass without bumping our chairs. We were asked for feedback at the end of our meal and whilst the server acknowledged that it was a cramped table and should really have not been there, informed us that the owner likes to 'cram' the restaurant full. In the likely event that nothing would change if we added any other feedback about our meals we didn't bother telling him that my rib-eye steak was small and gristly and my wife's Seabass was overcooked. We had to ask twice for a wine list and twice for extra water.

Absolutely beautiful Sunday dinner! We sat out the front in the sunshine, it was perfect. The meal was to die for - we ordered roast pork and chicken dinners - followed by the best Eton mess I’ve even tasted!! The staff are super friendly too and made us feel very welcome. We’ll certainly be back!

Tuesday evening was very quiet at the Wild Swan, maybe related to the heatwave we were enjoying so no one wanted to go out to a restaurant! Very low ceiling and small windows meant that it was too hot even with the windows open. Food excellent and well presented and prepared. Sea trout was something we had not had in years, it did not disappoint. Sea base and stone bass both pronounced excellent as was the slow roast shoulder of lamb with mash, shredded veg and delicious sauce. Puds and starters up to standard, mine being scallops with black pudding. Any weaknesses? The coffee tasted stewed. Staff on the ball.

The Staff were welcoming and efficient, though a bit slow because of pressure. Seating was cramped because it was next to the route to the toilet. The menu was imaginative and the food was well cooked.

This was my second visit and everything was as perfect as last time.

Excellent culinary expertise. Rather too much starch for my liking ie potatoes +Pastry but beautifully presented and delicious. Helpful willing and pleasant young serving staff. Lovely atmosphere. The round table a little too big for intimate dining for two and difficult to hear one’s companion speaking at my age at that distance.Overall an enjoyable evening and dinner.

When we arrived we were shown to a corner table in the bar area not one in the restaurant where we have eaten before. It was cramped and dark as the light kept flashing. The decor was poor with paint flaking off the walls. There was no bar menu offered, which we didn’t want, but no reduction for the main menu although we were in the bar corner. The food was just OK and the waiter tried his best but no senior person came to apologise for our disappointment. Will not go there again!
