Good find. Handy for A1. Knaresborough and Harrogate near enough for stroll after lunch.
Excellent service and great food. We will be back .
Celebrating our son's birthday. Lovely food with the usual great service. Visited many times before and look forward to many more.. 🥂
Enjoyed our first visit but the table was very squashed in. The tree ladies had to pull the table out to sit down. Then we had to push back so the guys were not blocking the way to the toilets on the other side. A set price lunch menu would also a extra choice.
Great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere. Our go-to restaurant now.
Food and service excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Only grumble was that the table next to us was too close. We had a gentleman’s chair knocking into us throughout the evening.
Excellent food and service - would highly recommend a visit
Fantastic food and service as always, love the summer menu, compliments to the chef xx
Excellent choice from the a la carte menu and the specials board. All delicious and very flexible on being able to order starters as main courses.
Poor service, food over priced for quality and quantity. Nothing special
Fab food -badly stained chairs and shabby decor gave the place a run down feel -needs serious TLC
Food absolutely delicious but the lack of attentive service, dirty glass, menus and table decoration let the overall experience down.
Food, service & atmosphere all very good. Having been a few times I have always found it to be very warm in the restaurant as ceilings are low.
Great atmosphere and service excellent. We were given the lunch menu but didn't realise you could order from the blackboard - will definitely go again.
Very attentive staff and lovely food. A very good menu for fish lovers would have liked a bigger meat choice but saying that the lamb was beautiful. We will return again.
Great food, great service and atmosphere. Definitely will be returning
Great food let down by the inconsiderate as opposed slow service
The seats were rather too close to the seats of the next table and it was difficult for staff or customers to walk between us. Otherwise, perfect!
The food was delicious and the ambience first class. We'll be back!
The whole experience was excellent. Please keep up the good work!
Love the food , great choice . Ambience and staff superb , great experience and will return
Good food but location is on a main road. The outside dinning area was at the front of the pub facing the car park and road.
The food was first class and the Staff polite and attentive
My partner and two children had an enjoyable meal. However, the waiter accidentally spilt a full glass of wine over the table and mainly on my daughter, who was wearing a leg brace from a previous accident. The leg brace was sodden and made it an uncomfortable few hours for her. Although the staff were exceptionally attentive, there was no small gesture offered on the final bill, which was disappointing as it was a first time visit for my family. Shall we return? Not too sure.
Overall very good but we expected to be in the restaurant not seated behind a pillar by the bar. We will return but ask for a table in the restaurant next time 😄
A lovely pub with real ales, good food and very convenient for meeting up as close to the A1(M)
Lovely meal booked last minute so had no idea what to expect but exceeded out expectations quaint pub with great gastro food
Not up to it’s usual standards. We visit quite regularly, however on this occasion the 4 of us were disappointed with our meals. Firstly, a number of our choices were off, secondly some of the main courses weren’t great (overlooked or nothing special) and thirdly the service was lax - we had to eventually ask for dessert menus and the coffees took an eternity. Not sure we will be back for a while.
Great venue and surroundings. Varied menu with excellent choices. Plenty of staff who were attentive without being overbearing. Beautiful cooked food offering excellent value. We will return.
loved the food and the place but a few flies going around very annoying
I absolutely love the Wild Swan, service was brilliant as usual and the food was excellent
Sat opposite the open kitchen so could see all that was going on. Would prefer not to. Food good when it came.
The Wild Swan is as good as always...our 'go-to' place to eat.
1st visit, very enjoyable. Menu choice for Sunday lunch good. Food very good with plenty. (We all had starter & main but were too full for a sweet.) The "open" kitchen is novel and was interesting to watch. Only suggestion we might offer is that the plates for the main course be hotter when delivered to the table - The food on them might therefore retain its heat a little more. (the potatoes were only warm). Staff were attentive, chatty, helpful and friendly. We weren't pushed to move from our table after our meal. - We had to ask for the bill!!! Will go back again to try some of the other offerings on the menu based on our Sunday lunch.
Just fantastic. Fabulous menu, nice staff, lovely atmosphere and the most delicious food.
Booked online. Added a note to it re space for high chairs which was all noted and attended to on our arrival. Took visitors who were all impressed. Lovely surroundings and friendly ambience.
Great service, friendly staff and tasty food. There was a lovely atmosphere too.
The only quibble was lack of access to the black board specials in the small dining room, otherwise it was a perfect experience. Maybe a printed photo on the table would help ?
Very good meal and the best service, would recommend it to anyone
Can't believe we haven't been before, it's only down the road. Will be going back!
